What to Expect
Would you like to join some activities during your stay in Japan? Only visiting famous sightseeing spots is not a travel. By experiencing different culture just like Japanese do, you can get deeper understanding & intimacy to Japan. However even if you have a wish to join some Japanese activities or events, it may be hard to find the way how to participate in it. This tour offers such opportunities to foreign tourists with an easy way. Through this tour, you can have opportunities to experience the popular events among Japanese and traditional Japanese culture. I am sure that it will give you a wonderful experience and precious memories.
【Option A】This is a free factory tour of Japanese leading beer brewery. Japanese beer is definitely a most popular alcoholic beverage among Japanese and has started to gain more popularity among non-Japanese people. It has a distinct flavor and taste. Through this factory tour, we will learn various things of Japanese beer, ingredients & kinds of beer, and the process of making Japanese beer. The highlight is the beer tasting prepared the ending of this tour. We can experience drinking Japanese beer and how to say ‘Cheers’ in Japanese way! (Soft drinks are available for non-alcoholic drinkers). Participation fee is not necessary but reservation is required. . Duration of this tour: About one and half an hour.
【Option B】 If you are an animal lover, I recommend this option. We will visit ‘Owl Cafe’, one of the newest trend and culture of Japan.
This shop offers the space which you can have a communication with owls. Owl is considered to be a lucky bird in Japan. Actually they are so cute and friendly. Taking photos with an owl on your arm, shoulder, or even head must be a great memory.
Participation fee: 1,800 yen per adult (One soft drink is included.) Duration of this tour: One hour (This shop open at 12:00) NOTE: this tour is not available on Monday, due to shop holiday.
【Option C】If you are interested in traditional Japanese culture, this is the best place to visit. SUITO is an unique shop which offers various traditional cultural experience program mainly for non-Japanese, such as kimono wearing, calligraphy, making tako-yaki (octopus grilling). Among some programs prepared by this shop, please choose your favorite one . Participation fee: 2,000-4,000 yen per person. Duration of this tour: 1-3.5 hours.

・Quick Kimono dress-up --- dress up experience & photo shoot with your camera. From 2,000 yen. (60 minutes)
・Takoyaki making --- making & tasting takoyaki experience. From 3,000 yen (90 minutes)
・Calligraphy on T shirt --- writing your favorite Kanji (Chinese characters) on T shirt. 3,500 yen. (60 minutes)

【Option D】This option provides a good opportunity to enjoy Japanese night life and dietary custom. When it comes to Fukuoka, almost all Japanese remember Yatai, an open-air food stand. Fukuoka is a mecca of Yatai, Actually 40% of all Yatai is concentrated on Fukuoka. If you stay in Fukuoka, don’t miss this opportunity. The space of Yatai is not large actually, but it will give us another merit to spend the same space and time with local residents & enjoy local cuisines such as ramen, oden (a kind of hot pot dish), grilled chicken and so on. Of course beer is also available if you hope.
No participation fee but food & drink fee is necessary. (Depends on what you order. Average budget is between 1,000 and 2,000 yen/person) Tour time: from 0.5 hour to 1 hour on average. (Yatai opens from 6:00 p.m., so this tour is something like a night tour)
