1. Note : (1)The tour is available during the period of mid-April to November when pleasure boats in Lake Chuzenji are in operation. (2) In autumn, the road connecting Nikko station and Lake Chuzenji area is very crowded with tourist's cars. If we can't go to the lake because of traffic jams or weather conditions, we visit other attractions in Nikko Toshogu area such as Rinnoji temple, Taiyuin mausoleum, Futarasan shrine and Tamozawa Imperial villa. (3) You're recommended to plan the tour on a week day as much as possible because it's less crowded than on weekend or holidays.
2. If you have Japan Rail Pass, please let me know. You may be able to use it to go to Nikko.
3. If you have anything you don't eat, please let me know in advance.
4.The tour is not covered with any travel insurances. I'd recommend that you buy your own travel insurance in case of any unexpected accidents, losses, or breaking other's properties. Of course, I'll do my best to keep you away from such risks.

We usually use Tobu Railway with a reason to convenience : no need to change the train. The transportation fare is about 7,000 yen per adult that includes the limited express fare (round trip) and "Nikko Pass all area" that offers discounted train tickets and free transportation in Nikko.
If you have JR pass, the transportation fare is about 4,000 yen for you that includes bus and cruising fare and about 9,000 yen for a guide that includes Shinkansen, bus and cruising fare. In this case, we need to transfer to a local train on the way and the time required is almost the same as Tobu Railway, about an hour and 50 minutes.

Hi Anthony and Maria, thank you very much for your warm comments and high rating on the tour. It's my great honor and inspiration for a next guide. Although the consecutive 6 days tour was challenging for me, I could enjoy guiding thanks to your cooperation. I also admired your lovely children. Please be careful for flue after you get back to NY. Looking forward to seeing you again without worrying about the virus.

Hi Irene, thank you very much for your review and high rating on the tour. It’s my honor and a great motivation for future tours. I heard a news on your ship. I really wish the problem will be settled soon and your journey continues.
We really enjoyed our day with Toru. His English is excellent as is his knowledge of history, religion, and culture. We also recommend touring Kamakura, as it had a totally different vibe from the big cities. Toru also found us a great little tempura restaurant for lunch. We appreciated him escorting us back to the ship. Highly recommend.
Hi Linda, thank you very much for your review. As you say, Kamakura is a lovely city to explore for one day in terms of Japanese history, religion, and food. I'm happy to learn you enjoyed them through the tour. I was impressed with your interests and knowledge about Japanese history and literature. I enjoyed very much spending with you for one day in Kamakura. Thank you again and please say hello to Scot.
Toru was a great tour leader. He’s very knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and courteous. We spent the day enjoying Tokyo on public transportation. We traveled distances and visited sights through the eyes of a local. Lunch was enjoyed at a typical local spot serving traditional food. I highly recommend Toru.
Hi Rose, thank you very much for your comment and high rating on the tour. It will be my great motivation for the future tours. I was so happy to share a pleasant time with you and your group. I'm looking forward to seeing you again in the season of cherry blossoms and hope you enjoy the continuing journey.
Toru took us from Tokyo on a tour of Nikko. He took care of all the logistics including subway and train tickets. Toru met us at our hotel described the details of the tour and then took us to an amazing Nikko. He guided us through great shrines and temples including great Toshogu shrine. Tory was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. We had a great day and would recommend Tori to anyone looking for a friendly and knowledgeable guide.
Hi Igo, thank you very much for your kind comments. I'm pretty happy to know you seemed to enjoy the tour in Nikko. I'm afraid we didn't have time to visit Kegon Waterfall and Lake Chuzenji this time. I hope we can next time. How is your trip going? Three of you are enjoying a journey in Kyoto. I'm waiting for you to come back again and enjoy another attractions in this country. Thank you again.
