Shun met us at our Cruise Ship in Sakaiminato with a Taxi that he had prearranged for us. We drove to Matsue to visit the historical Matsue Castle and other sites in the Town of Matsue. After a terrific Japanese lunch in a converted Samauri Residence we then traveled on to the Adachi Museum and Gardens. Shun was professional and informative. We enjoyed his company and sense of humor. We learned a great deal about life in Japan from Shun and we will always remember fondly our wonderful day ... view more
I had a great time and memorable trip in Tottori with Hiro. I visited Tottori Castle Ruins, Tottori Sand Dunes, Mount Mitoku, Misasa, Kurayoshi, Hokuei (aka Conan Town), Mount Daisen, Sakaiminato, Hakuto Shrine, and even Miho Shrine in the neighbouring Shimane Prefecture. These were more places than what I initially planned for. Hiro ensured that I was able to see what I wanted to see before giving his recommendations to great places that I was not aware previously. Hiro was also flexible as I r... view more
Shun was a great guide with excellent knowledge of his surrounding. We appreciated his choices of what we saw. The Tea Ceramony was one of the highlights of the culture that we witnessed. Shun gave us an itinerary prior to us going so that we had some input. None of our input was required because of the great choices he made. Thank you Shun. See you on our return. GT view more
We had a great time visiting the Sakaiminato region with Hiroki while our ship had a stop there. When we arrived Hiroki was waiting for us at the agreed meeting point with a driver and a ''jumbo taxi'' for our family of six.. His English was very good. Since we had limited time to visit, we were happy to have a very well organized guide with us. The tour was well managed and we got to see what was in our program for the day. We enjoyed every place we visited. Hiroki has a good sens of humour and... view more
We were visiting Sakaiminato on a cruise and wanted to see the famous castle at Matsue. We met the TR Taxi driver near Sakaiminato Station. He was very cheerful and at each stop guided us to the right entrance and was standing there waiting when we got back, even though it was raining hard. In addition to the castle, he had us do the Hirokawa boat ride and visit the Lifcardio Hearn Museum and House, which turned out to be much more interesting than anticipated. He got us some free tea at a tea ... view more
Although TripleLights did not have any guides in the area that we were traveling, Hideo made a long journey to meet us at our cruise ship and show us some highlights of the Sakaiminato area. We were especially interested in the Yuushien Garden and Tottori Flower Park which were not especially close to each other. He had the journey by taxi, train and bus planned out perfectly and even provided us with a printed itinerary and map so we knew exactly what was in store. While the cruise ship had exc... view more
