What to Expect

The best part of Tokyo is that you have some nice and calm places you can relax, right in the middle of the chaotic urban city. Meiji-jingu shrine is one of those places. In this tour, we are first visiting here, where it is mesmerizingly calm and full of earthy scents of the woods, to prepare for the craziness awaiting afterwards. Once you get cooled down, let us lead you to Harajuku, the melting pot of culture. Enjoy the energetic streets full of variously styled people and shops. You can also try the hot-trending sweets such as crepes, popcorns, cotton candies, smoothies, and many more! In the last part of the trip, we are visiting Shibuya, to see that crazy view of scramble crossing with so many people, and the Hachiko the loyal dog statue.

Highlights

Meiji Shrine, located in the Shibuya district in Tokyo, attracts the greatest number of visitors from throughout Japan for hatsumode or the first shrine visit of the New Year. If you happen to be lucky enough on the day of your visit, you could catch a glimpse of a traditional wedding ceremony.

Harajuku’s Takeshita Street has recently been ranked as the most desired place to visit by visitors to Japan. Harajuku continues to broadcast its distinct fashion responsible for the ‘kawaii’ (cute) sub-culture.

The scramble intersection of the youth mecca of Shibuya is the world’s busiest, with 500,000 people crossing it daily. Besides the shopping and cuisine, enjoy the unique atmosphere of this neighborhood

“ Amazing tour in Tokyo! ”

Can’t say enough good things about Dai! It was our first time in Tokyo and had only one free day from business to do a quick overview tour of Tokyo, and Dai took lead and hit every single area we wanted to see, the best part was how patient he was with us with multiple stopping places that we wanted to see. He was great at communicating with locals to help us try new foods and even arranged lunch for us at the oldest ramen establishment in Tokyo! Great job Dai, see you soon!

“ Terrific Tokyo with Riko ”

Okay, so if you have a husband and two adult children traveling with you that all have very different interests, then Riko is the guide for you. Our four day tour was an unforgettable experience! Riko made navigating hectic Tokyo not only a breeze but tons of fun. We were satisfied with points of interest from Imperial gardens and Shinto shrines to cat cafes and coffee shops. The stress free trip and Riko's attention to detail was immaculate including a day trip to Mt. Fuji with a private driver. Riko is not only a fantastic tour guide, but we are honored to call her our friend! Thank you Riko!!

“ Awesome Service ”

We booked last minute and they was able to accommodate us with a day. Once we arrived our driver was already waiting for us. He waited for us to get our JR Pass and our WiFi pocket. The service was excellent. I highly recommend this company.

“ Very Thorough and Caring Guide ”

From the very beginning after I booked Yoko, she began to email me ideas and itineraries to consider. She also mentioned she was doing dry runs through the areas we wanted to see so she could figure out timing for us. I was impressed at her dedication. Once we arrived in Tokyo, she had subway maps and restaurant pamphlets for us to keep us organized. She spent extra time with us to make sure we got around safely. She suggested places to visit that our sons would enjoy, and because of this we actually got one of our best photo opportunities of the trip when she took us to a cafe that printed our images on our lattes! She emailed pictures after the tour. She speaks great English and is easy to understand. You can tell she really cares for her job and her clients. My one piece of criticism would be that she seems unaccustomed to young children, so frequently seemed overwhelmed by our young boys and their hyper energy. She was strict about where we could use our stroller and where we couldn't, and that felt a bit harsh to us. If you are traveling without kids, DEFINITELY choose Yoko. She is great at her job. She even gave us suggestions for places to visit in the next city in Japan where we were headed.

“ best layover tour guide experience ”

Shinishiro-san was very friendly and informative. He was patient and very accommodating during our all too brief but fun tour of Tokyo during our layover there. If you are looking for a great tour guide to show you around Japan, we highly recommend him! We know we will when decide to come back to visit Japan again.
