We had two wonderful days in Tokyo. It was our first acquaintance with this impressive city and Kyoko has proved to be an excellent guide to our family with 3 teenagers, being very attentive and considerate to everyone. On our first day, we discovered the surroundings of Tokyo station and Imperial Palace, where we had a beautiful hanami experience while walking under the cherry blossoms. She took us to Omotesando and Harajuku with their particular atmosphere and we ended the day in Shibuya. On the next day, we went to Tokyo Skytree, Asakusa, Ueno park and Akihabari. On both days she made very good recommendations for lunch and dinner and even had some shopping advice varying from typical Japanese souvenirs over clothing advice to books and dvd's for our son, who has been learning Japanese for a year! Our son loved talking Japanese with Kyoko and she encouraged him to talk to other people! Overall, she was very kind with a fine sense of humor and we learned a lot about Japanese culture. We will certainly miss her!
Thank you very much Claudia for writing me such a quick and wonderful review! I am a little bit overwhelmed by your son's awesome Japanese and your daughters' smartness and disciplines, which must be cultivated by their parents' deep affection. Your family has never hurried but at the end, everything went well and in time. You could enjoy twice cherry blossoms which usually only bear at most 10 days but lasted 20 days this year maybe they wanted to meet you. I am testifying that your son will be a bridge of your country and Japan in the near future and you will continue to visit Japan again and again maybe in the cherry blossoms' season. (Autumn is also fine!) See you then!
