We are an Australian couple who had never been to Japan and we were a bit overwhelmed by the attractions listed in the Tokyo guidebooks. Through a chat with Maru in the weeks prior to our trip we were able to narrow down a list of things we were interested in seeing. Although the list we gave Maru was fairly broad she was able to string together a set of destinations which suited our needs. Thanks to Maru's comprehensive knowledge of the city and public transport systems our day did not involve a lot of wating as we moved seamlessly from one attraction to the next. Where something un-expected occurred such as road maintenance or train delays Maru was able to negotiate alternative routes and keep us on track. Maru's knowledge of the local surrouondings shone through with interesting anecdotes and historical stories along the way. Some of the highlights of our trip were the skytree, getting our picture taken near the first cherry tree to blossom in Tokyo by an old guy who uses a mirror and your camera to capture unique perspectives, a fuedal lord's garden amongst the skyscapers, the madness of the shibuya scramble crosswalk, Haichiko's statue, and walking through Shinjuku with it's mix of hundreds of tiny eateries and neon everywhere. We couldn't have had such an interesting and memorable tour without Maru's excellent help and knowledge, it was a great afternoon and we highly recommend Maru to guide you in Tokyo. Thank you so much for your kind word, Paul. I really appreciate you taking the time out to share your experience. I was very glad to have the wonderful day apprreciating bearutiful plum trees, canola flower field, and a lot of attractions in Tokyo with you! It was my first day I felt spring has come this year. Your eyes were always shining and your smiles made me very happy. Thank you for the amazing day. Looking at the map and listening to your introduction of your neighborhood, I felt I want to visit your town. It must be my turn to shine my eyes because of the beautiful environment in Cairns. Of course, there are much more attractive spots in Tokyo, but I am very interested in your beer brewing. Why don't we visit a beer factory when you come to Japan next time? You can learn how they brew beer and get to try freshly made beer there! Please send my best regards to Anita. You have spent several days in different temperatures for the last few weeks, please take care of yourself. I am looking forward to seeing you two again! Let's keep in touch☆ Maru.
