I was traveling with my two daughters ages 11 and 8. It was our first time in Tokyo and we wanted to experience more than than the touristic places which we could readily have access to ourselves. Hiroki was punctual and greeted us at our hotel at 9:00 AM. We proceeded to the Imperial Palace and surrounding grounds. He provided us with an insightful background. From there he took us to the famous Tsukiji fish market. He was familiar with the entire market and gave us a brief history. He guided us to the best knife makers so that we could buy quality Japanese made cutlery knives as well. We then had lunch at one of the genuine Japanese Sushi Restaurants where you would not find too many tourists by the name of Tsukiji Sushisay. After lunch we proceeded to a Lao-do/Samurai dojo tour. My children found this to be most exciting as they got to wear the special outfits and tried their hand on actual samurai swords. From there we proceeded to a Soba noodle making lesson, where we made soba from scratch. After making the soba we took a short break whereby the instructor served us both the soba which we had made along with the ones that he himself had made. After such a long day Hiroki insisted that he take us back to the Hotel even though we had learned the subways and knew the way back. Over all he is a very kind individual that has taken on this profession post retirement because he loves what he does. He is the type that gets along people from all ages and certainly can make appropriate arrangements to your demands. I highly recommend him.
