Makiko was exceptional. She emailed us several times before we arrived in Tokyo to inquire what we wanted to see & do, she arranged an itenary & obtained our approval in advance. Makiko met us the first day at the hotel with only a few moments delay as there was a typhoon the day before which caused severe issues & delays in the train service. (She got up 2 1/2 hours early to meet us as she anticipated there would be problems). Even so, she made it to us with only a slight delay and then suggested an alternate transportation to avoid the commute backlog jam on the trains. She took us to all the different venues we had requested and also showed us how to purchase tickets & use the subway & train system to get around Tokyo on our own, which we have done on the following days we did not have a tour guide. If you are new to Japan & especially Tokyo, having a guide for a day or two in our opinion is both prudent & a time saver. There is so much to see & do, you don’t want to waste your time & money getting lost & frustrated trying to understand & do it all on your own. Makiko speaks and understands English very well, & is a very popular guide. Our suggestion is to schedule her well in advance.
Thank you very much for a great review. It was a pleasure to be your guide for 2 days in Tokyo. I am so happy to hear you enjoyed my tour. It was such a lovely time with you. We were so lucky to have nice weather for both days. Hope to see you again. Please come back in different season to enjoy more flower. Have a wonderful time for a cruise! My warmest regards to Mary.
