Our family of 5 (kids ages 21, 19, and 15) had one of the best days of our vacation in Japan with Hiroko. She met us at the cruise ship port in Shimizu and took us on a remarkable tour of beautiful Izu town with its gorgeous temple and bamboo forest, did a short hike at the breathtaking Jodaskaki coast, viewed a picturesque secluded wasabi farm and dipped our feet into the lovely waters of Banjo Falls. We stopped for a delicious sushi lunch and even tried wasabi ice cream and a local specialty,... view more
Yasuko met us coming off of the Diamond Princess, which docked in Shimizu. We planned for an 8 hour tour but ran out of steam. Yasuko was on-time for everything and communicated very well throughout the process. We had the opportunity to use local buses and local commuter trains. We tried Sake at a brewery, a Mt. Fuji Shrine, and the Mt Fuji museum. We also visited a large waterfall in the Mt. Fuji area and made it back in time for our daughter to try on a Kimono. Overall we really enjoyed... view more
Fumie is very proficient in English and she is a very responsible and attentive tour guide. She understood my preference and was able to come up with an excellent itinerary catering to my family needs (with 2 teenagers and a child) with short notice. A thoroughly enjoyable day trip. view more
We had a wonderful experience visiting the tea farm etc. because of Hiroyo. She was very accommodating. She patiently explained to us everything we needed to know, waited for us to take photos and buy souvenirs, and also moved at a slower pace since my mother was on a wheelchair. We will definitely recommend her to our friends. view more

I had a marvelous experience with Hiroyo, and I would recommend her service to anyone looking to learn more about teas offered from the Shizuoka region. It was clear that Hiroyo has done her research thoroughly, and I had the opportunity to visit a well thought out list of tea farms. She was able to translate from English to Japanese and vice versa effectively and efficiently, and I'm very happy about the other tea related activities that she recommended, such as touring the tea museum and havin... view more
Hiroko was an excellent guide with outstanding english. Her knowledge of and pride in showing us and talking to us about everything on the Izu Peninsula was great. Her warmth, energy and connection with the farmers, restaurant owners and locals made for a fantastic day. We were given plenty of time to enjoy the green tea picking, long after other people had left. Our lunch in local restaurant was delicious and cycling to and form the tea farm also good fun. view more
Hiroyo was an excellent guide. She was able to organise a private van for our group 8pax and customised our tour to suit our interest. We loved the flexibility and enjoyed the activities very much. view more
This was our 1st visit to Shizuoka city and we had wanted to visit the Kiwi Fruit Country and a tea experience. Hiroyo kindly agreed to guide us through the city of Kakegawa, included the 2 requested experiences and added a visit to Kakegawa Castle to complement the tour. Hiroyo was knowledgeable in guiding us around and knowing our interest in local produce, she introduced and recommended local produce souvenirs which we bought back as memory of our trip to Kakegawa and Shizuoka. Hiroyo is h... view more
Yasuko is an excellent tour guide who can speak English speaker well. She guided and taught us how to navigate the complicated train and bus system. We were able to see Mount Fuji very well from World heritage museum while many other people have to pay so much money to see it on the same day but they could not see it. She is very knowledgeable of local events. Using her knowledge of local information, she took us to a free event where we can try on the beautiful Kimono , learn about the tea ce... view more
We had a short amount of time in Shimizu from our cruise ship. Yasuko worked hard to arrange for taxi rides to Nihondaira and back. She had the taxi make a stop at a tea farm and she gave us a guided tour of the local fish market. She made the trip fun and informative. I would recommend her highly. view more
