Moto-san took us to a unique spot to photograph Japan’s famous mountain. What a view,! We saw a lot, met local people, ate beautiful Sushi, ( actually the best we had), and learnt a lot. Thank you so much view more
Our tour with Yasuko was a full day from Shimizu port to Mount Fuji. She planned every detail very well and made sure to tailor our itinerary to what we wanted to see. Yasuko is a charming, considerate guide who made the experience even more memorable. We got to see two important sights for half of what our ship tour would have cost. view more
A wonderful day with an excellent guide and driver, despite rain. Koji greeted us with a supply of towels, handled our bulky umbrellas, stopped to purchase a poncho for my husband before we headed out. My husband was not able to negotiate stairs, but stayed with our driver while Koji and I explored Kunozan Toshogu Shrine (in more rain). Informative explanations with additional stops at a tea field and Miho Pine Grove made this day. view more
Yasuko designed a 6 hour tour experience for our group of 8 from the the cruise port in Shimizu. Her english is outstanding and she accommodated our needs very well making seamless adjustments to our program as needed. Highlights of our time together included - Learning about the upcoming festival featuring Samuri Warriors competing in a form of archery on horseback, A unique visit to the Duck Stationery Store, A visit to the wonderful Fujisan Hongu Sengen Taisha Shrine with its extensive buil... view more
From the outset (e-mails prior to booking the tour), I could tell Koji was an exceptional guide. We wanted an ambitious version of his Tour #2 and he was more than accommodating. He did not promise us the moon as a lot depended on traffic. He said he would be at the port a half hour early, and if we could manage to debark early, we could probably get every single thing in! We did get off early...and he and our taxi driver couldn't have been more wonderful. Knowledgable and entertaining... view more
3 senior couples had an amazing day with Fumie while our ship was in Shimizu. We had the perfect view of Mt. Fuji from Lake Tanuki. We were amazed at the beauty of Shiraito no Taki Waterfalls and Otodome no Taki Waterfalls. Fumie guided us through the Sengentaisha Shrine and our final destination was the Mt. Fuji World Heritage Center. Fumie is very charming, proud of her county, speaks excellent English and knows the perfect angles for the perfect photographs. Thanks Fumie for a great day. view more
Short train ride to Mt Fuji World Hertiage Centre which has a great viewpoint of the mountain plus lots of history . It also has lots of great background information. Well worth a visit. From there we took a short walk to a nearby shrine. Taka told us traditions and what to do. He also helped us to be familiar with Japanese cuisine. view more
Yumiko-san was an amazing guide. She was punctual, polite and knowledgeable. We had a very pleasant trip and bonded over conversation, food and nature. We enjoyed local shiitake mushroom picking, wasabi farms and waterfalls in the rich histort of Shuzenji. As recommended by Yumiko-san, I highly recommend hiring a car to go to this part of town as there are limited public travel options. We had a wonderful day and I can’t wait to recommend her to my family and friends. Domo, arigato... view more

We loved our tour with Moto. He met us at the cruise terminal and took us via taxi and his car to see the sights. He took us a back way to a lovely look-out point to see Mt Fuji with the tea plantations all around us. It was so peaceful and beautiful as all the tour buses went to another spot for viewing Mt Fuji. We had no traffic or congestion. Moto is a very nice person and a wonderful guide. He also took us to downtown to experience some of the local culture. view more
We only had 4 hours while ship was in port, but we did a lot! We stopped by a tea farm and then went to the Nihondaira plateau observation deck for a view of the gorgeous Mt. Fuji. We then visited the Kunozan Toshogu Shrine. This was very interesting but requires some stamina to climb up and down all the steep stone steps. Yasuko was an excellent guide and spoke very good English. view more
