I brought my company to Japan for a summit involving many other businesses. Ai was my translator on the first day. Everything was so hectic, because it was our first time, but not only did Ai make communication easy, she helped problem solve all of our issues throughout the day. In the end, it was an easy event despite the confusing start. Thank you, Ai!! view more
Michiko-san epitomized professionalism by pre-planning our individual tour based on what we'd like to see in the Tokyo area. The pre-planning included her going through prior dry-runs of routes to ensure that we'd be able to accomplish what we prioritized on our wish list and within the allotted time. If we chose to linger more at one location, Michiko-san was flexible and adjusted our itinerary. Without her, we couldn't have seen half the sites if we had tried on our own to find and navigate... view more
Eddy was an absolute joy as a guide. We had a very unique request, of going to the Tokyo area flood control system, a huge underground cavern used to protect outer Tokyo. He gladly accepted such a unique tour. My wife an I were really surprised and pleased to see he even faxed our hotel to make sure we knew where to meet him! He also filled our long train rides with all kinds of fun activities, like learning about Japanese writing, history, and important phrases. Over lunch, he even taught u... view more
Akira is a fantastic tour guide and an extremely nice person. We went to kawagoe to see the storehouses and go on a soy sauce factory tour. The town was charming with great souvenir options (and much less crowded than some of the attractions in Tokyo). Unfortunately my daughter developed a stomach ache from the night before but Akira was able to help so much. He assisted us in getting her safely back to the hotel in Tokyo and was so helpful in caring for our family. I can’t imagine a better per... view more
My partner and I spent the morning/early afternoon exploring the Metropolitan Area Outer Underground Discharge Channel, aka Kasukabe Underground Flood Protection Tank, aka G-Cans. As foreign visitors who don't speak Japanese fluently, we needed a Japanese speaking guide who could interpret for us (presumably for safety reasons). We found Nobu via the TripleLights website and he was excellent. Nobu met us promptly at 0900 at our hotel lobby (Hilton Tokyo in Shinjuku). From there, he guided us... view more
We only had a short time with Aki. I had her take my family (husband and 2 teenage daughters) to the Glico Factory tour which only accepts reservations in Japanese. She went out of her way in providing directions on how to meet her before we left on our trip and delivered more information at our hotel when we arrived in Tokyo. The tour was in Japanese and she translated for us even translating the Quiz questions for us as we played a game there. She actually visited the factory a week prior to o... view more
We visited Ryu-Q-Kan and it was so great to have someone there to explain about everything we were seeing. Yasuro was attentive, organized and we have a really enjoyable time. view more
Akira was lovely to communicate with in helping us reach a destination in Tokyo which was difficult as a foreigner. He responded quickly and clearly at all times. When the day of the tour came, he was promptly on time, helped us with exactly what we needed, and even helped us for how to get back into Tokyo afterwards after the tour was done. I have nothing but positive things to say. view more
I contacted seven different tour guides, both the top rated guides on this site and on two other sites to take us on a Tokyo G-cans tour. None of the guides I contacted would take us, as the tour was slightly out of the ordinary for them...Thankfully this site put me in touch with the guide Nobu-san and he happily organised the whole tour for us. Nobu planned it perfectly, despite never having been there before. He was on-time to meet us, quietly spoken, very friendly and did well to translate f... view more
Mchiko san was friendly and informative. She's so sweet and nice. We started off with the sumida river cruise which she recommended and it was worth it. She also recommended a halal unagi restaurant for lunch which was really superb as all three of us love unagi and it was the best unagi we've ever tasted. The visit to the railroad museum was awesome. Thank you so much for helping us out and she goes beyond her limits to help us out. Thanks for the most memorable trip to Saitama. view more
You MUST book Sachimi for your tours. She is so easy to work with, speaks perfect English, and is beyond accommodating. We were a group of 8 adults on a tour to Kawagoe. Sachimi met us at our hotel in Ikebukuro and escorted is by train and bus to a kimono rental shop in Kawagoe. Having her there made it so easy to converse with the staff. The dress up went smoother than expected. It was so much fun walking around the historic town all dressed up. She pointed out landmarks and took us to places w... view more
