My sister and I arrived in Osaka in October, 2019, on our first visit to Japan. We have the great fortune of having Yui as our guide for a tour of the city. She is an absolute delight. We asked to see the real Osaka - not just the tourist sites. She took us on a fabulous tour, including one of the first markets, where normal Japanese residents shopped. She showed us the different architectural styles, with a running commentary on Japanese values, history, day-to-day living, schools, and shopping. She had us on and off subway trains with speed and ease. I'm a lawyer and she arranged to take me to the Osaka courthouse to see a trial for part of the afternoon and she translated for me when a Judge explained the local judicial system. Then she taught us to buy local fare and took us to many of the tourist highlights. My sister and I would have only seen 1/10th of what we saw without her. She is young, enthusiastic, and comes with a great sense of humour. She instantly felt like part of our family, educating, laughing, teaching, and guiding us like a shepherd with ease and fun. She was constantly asking what we would like to see, adding information that no local guidebook could easily proffer, and introducing us to Japanese life, a wonderful city, and, along the way, making a new friend. We spent the day in the very best of hands. Simply put, Yui is a star. You cannot do better.
I would like to say thank you for give me opportunity to guide to John and his sister. They are super lovely and made me laugh all the time. They are easy going, open mind, smile a lot and share their life story with me also. It was just one day tour but it was easy to get to know them and they showed the reaction and tell me what they like and enjoyed that. I had such a great moment with them.I have never been to court but I had a chance to visit there because of John, thank you for the experience. If you have any chance to come back to Osaka, I would like to show other part of city :D or I might visit you in Canada one day. Looking forward to see you again.
