Ikumi did great starting by replying quickly and in details. She is very kind and very patient, speaks very good English, and knows the Japanese language and culture well. She helped me learn how to get around using public transportation and she was very patient with me taking notes and photos. We went to the flea market by the temple, the osaka castle, and the fish market. it was a great experience we got to interact with the locals. We also had very interesting conversations and she answered ... view more
We made the tour to visit the stables for training sessions for the sumo. I was really surprise by the experience, our guide gave us great input and knowledge of all surrounding the sumo practice. Our guide picked us at the hotel right on time. view more
Kaori was an amazing guide! We hired her for 4 days to tour my husband, 15 year old son and I around Osaka and the neighbouring cities. She spent time upfront to understand what our interests were and what we were hoping to learn and do while in Japan. She then put together tours that hit the nail on the head. She is very knowledgeable, fun and related well to all three of us, making every day incredibly enjoyable. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide. 5 stars all the way. view more
A group of 4 adults that wanted to see Osaka in a day - a tall order! We worked out an ambitious itinerary with Makoto before our visit. Makoto was very positive and communicative throughout. When we met on the day Makoto provided information sheets and a historical overview of Osaka. Makoto explained the history and local context of all the sights we visited. We covered a lot of territory with Makoto, showing us many great sights, sounds and memories of Osaka. Makoto is a first class guide, kno... view more
We were with Mr. Kazu for 3 days; Nara, Kyoto, and Himeji Castle. In those 3 days, we were very happy to be with him as he is most helpful in everything that we needed. He even made lunch reservations for all 3 days for us. I wouldn't hesitate to contact Mr. Kazu again on our next visit to Japan. Thank you very much Mr. Kazu! view more
We booked a mini bus from namba to kansai international airport, and our driver arrived early so we were able to load all our luggage. Compared to the other airport transfer we booked, our driver for this trip took it upon himself to assist us in loading our luggages even if it was very tiring because we are a large group :) view more
Rich was knowledgeable, entertaining and most of all welcoming. My girlfriend and I both agreed that we didn’t feel like we were with a tour guide, we felt we were visiting a friend! We both learned so much not only about the city we visited but much more regarding Japanese history and culture. The tour started off with something new which was a museum that showed the day in the life of a Japanese citizen during the Edo period. It was a great learning experience and something we both found t... view more

Toshi met us at the cruise port in Kobe. He expertly guided us via monorail, train and subway to Osaka. He was willing to spend the day doing whatever we wanted. We spent the morning at Osaka Castle Park. We then took a taxi to the shopping district, Dotombori. Toshi started the day as our tour guide but by the end of the day he was our friend. He had a great sense of humor. His English was very good. He was extremely knowledgeable! At the end of the day, he accompanied is back to the po... view more
Our Osaka tour with Hiro was amazing. Even the restaurants he took us were all delicious, with a lot to choose from which made it enjoyable for everyone in the family (especially since not everyone likes raw food). He was also able to manage the last minute changes we had on our itinerary and made sure that we are able to cover as much as we can during the tour. He even made sure that we get to Nunobiki falls in Kobe (which we badly wanted). We really appreciate the information he was able to pr... view more
My wife and I travel all over the world and I have had many guides in many different countries, but I have never had one as good as Hero. He not only knows the history and details about all the sites, but he added a tremendous amount of local comments and flavor that made our day with him one wevwill never forget. We gave him an idea of what we wanted him to do, and he significantly exceeded our expectations. If I had another son, I would want him to be just like Hero. A real gem of a person who... view more
