Customer Reviews for Okayama Tours

Chizuru did an outstanding job coordinating my 2 nights/3 day stay in Naoshima. She sent me a detailed daily itinerary with the times for the trains and ferries. I took the Shinkanzen to Okayama and then she met me and to save time hired a taxi to take us to the port of Uno. Took the ferry to Naoshima. The Benesse shuttle took my luggage to the hotel and we started touring right away. She had purchased tickets to the Chichu museum ahead of time so we lost no time. Then we did the Art House ... view more

Kuniko met us at our hotel and confirmed the arrangements we had negotiated before via email. She took us to Okayama Castle by local bus and then to Korakuen Gardens. She was able to answer all our queries and questions...or most of them. We had stored up quite a few from our prior days in Japan. We then had a superb lunch of ramen noodles at a little restaurant before catching the train to Kurashiki. Kuniko showed us all the must see places such as O’Hara Museum of Art, the Ohashi House, The G... view more

This visit was a nice contrast to the busy streets of Tokyo and Kyoto. I'm so glad that I made the decision to stop here as well. The Setouchi Islands are listed as one of the 52 places to go in 2019 by the New York Times. Mayumi had a number of different itineraries to choose from. Biking around the island of Honjima is what I ultimately selected. She planned everything perfectly from catching the ferry to the island, renting bikes and finding a spot for lunch. She even had a nice itinerar... view more

From the moment I started to plan this trip, Yamato was my first guide I had decided to book with Triplelights. He turned out to be great, as he quickly communicated with me and we got an itinerary sorted within days. Thank you Yamato for a lovely afternoon walking through parts of Okayama and Kurashiki. The time went too quickly as we strolled around Kurashiki and also enjoyed some refreshments together while you gave me an insight into life of Okayama. A few hours just wasn’t long enough. We spent two days with Keiji. The first was in Hiroshima where he met us at our hotel at the appointed time. The second was in Okayama, where he met our train. On both days Keiji showed us everything we had asked to see and at a good pace. He chose two very nice restaurants for lunch and at a reasonable price. Keiji has a very quiet nature and his English was easy to understand. Thank you Keiji for helping us navigate our way around Hiroshima and Okayama. view more

Masaki was an excellent guide. He was very informative and interesting and did his very best to make our time with him enjoyable. He was extremely kind and patient with my elderly mom, and I very much appreciated it. Overall, I would say that Masaki is a wonderful guide and an asset to Triple Lights. I would highly recommend him, and if I have the opportunity to visit Kyoto again with my husband will definitely request him as our guide! Thank you, Masaki!! view more

Masaki is a pro - he is knowledgeable, well prepared and has excellent communication skills. He is amicable and personable. He is flexible and very agreeable. We have originally booked a tour to go to KUrashihki for 30/9. Then we found out that there was a special exhibition of Ukiyo-e Paintings opening at the Sagawa Art Museum in Shiga prefecture on 30/9. We requested a change of tour just 2 days in advance. Masaki was quick to respond and showed no hesitation in agreeing to our request. W... view more
