Mari helped me make the most of my layover, very efficiently introducing me to Japanese culture. In just four hours, she introduced me to Japanese pastries, we toured a gorgeous temple and grounds, attended a tea ceremony, visited a shrine, strolled the very quaint and historic town of Narita, shopped for personalized chopsticks and other crafts, and ate delicious ramen. Throughout, Mari provided history and context for the many Japanese traditions we witnessed. This was by far the best ever... view more
Our experience with Hiroki was simply amazing. He is very knowledgeable about history of the area and patiently and clearly answered all our questions. But most importantly, he is extremely courteous, considerate, prompt and resourceful (we were traveling w/ of 2.5 year old who was a bit riotous at times:-) partly due to jetlag and travel -- but Hiroki was simple amazing in helping us throughout our tour, which involved a lot of walking). Would any day recommend his services to make your trip a... view more

It was such a wonderful and memorable day spent with Hirokisan. Hirokisan is a fountain of knowledge, not just about samurais, but Japanese history in general. He taught us SO MUCH, from cemeteries to katanas to samurais to dry moats to the Jomon period, and everything in between. Hirokisan made our last day in Japan very special and he is a consummate professional from beginning to end. You have to book this tour, it is unforgettable. Hirokisan, we thank you so much!!! view more
Michiko was on time to meet us at Narita airport. She showed us where to store our extra luggage’s at the airport, oriented us with the JR pass and subway system, SUICA card. She accompanied us to Tokyo station and got us into our hotel safely. This was a stress free arrival for us since we have two young kids with us. We would have used her for our sightseeing guide around Tokyo but unfortunately it rained most of the time we were in Tokyo. But the knowledge she shared with us was great. Thank ... view more

Michiko met us at NRT and walked us through the process of getting our metro card (Suica) and then a ticket for the Skyliner to get us from NRT to Tokyo. We visited a few shrines on the way to our hotel. We met on the second day and visited the Bonsai garden and museum then walked around the area visiting several bonsai nurseries. We had a lunch break, then went to Kawagoe and visited a couple of shrines, seeing a fire ceremony. Following that, we came back to Tokyo and visited Shinjuku gard... view more
