Masaki was full of information even before our tour. He would email me information before our trip, and it made me more excited and anxious! He also provided us with cooling gel pads for myself and my daughter! He also took into consideration the weather, and adjusted our itinerary to make things more convenient! Thank you so much for everything Masaki! We really appreciate everything, and look forward to seeing you again on our next trip to Japan!! view more
We had 2 days with Hiro who is an efficient guide and very knowledgeable in Japanese history. It is easy to tell he is an ex-teacher due to the patience he had with our 2 sons. Once we had all got to know each other we had a good two days, Nara being our favourite. view more
Yoshi was wonderful showing us around Nara on a very hot day. Very knowledgeable. Lovely day. Would strongly recommend him. Traveler's tip: because it was so hot, we took a taxi twice while in Nara. Each time under 1000 yen so very much worth having the air conditioned ride as a quick rest! view more
Hero is a great tour guide. He took us on 2 tours one in Kyoto and the other in Nara. He is very knowledgeable and was eager to share all of his insights. He is very friendly and outgoing and curious about his customers lives. I highly recommend him. view more
Mr Shin is an excellent guide. He made our visit to Nara incredible, once his knowledge about the culture, religion, politics and gastronomy are quite impressive. On the top of that, he is also extremely polite and gentil! view more
Our tour of Nara was cut very short because we were so exhausted at that point in our trip we just didn't have any shrining or templing left in us! BUT Noburu was a great guide, kept our needs in mind and was very flexible with our constantly changing plans! We wish we had been able to do everything on our list, but we pooped out way before he did! Noboru really knows his stuff, all the way down to the height and width of almost every structure we saw! Nara is amazing and not to missed on a trip ... view more

Masaki-san is a wonderful guide. He is gentle and friendly. I booked Masaki-san as my guide for a two day walking tour. I had only vague ideas about Nara. He is knowledgeable. I learned so much about Buddhism, Shintoism, and Japan's ancient history. He also told me about the difference between Kyoto and Nara. His explanation is well organized and convincing. I could understand the significance of building Horyuji temple and the introduction of Buddhism. I could see temples and shrines in ... view more
I chose Mr. Masaki because his profile indicated he had taught history for 30 years and being a history buff I figured he was the right choice for me. I was not disappointed! He was a wealth of knowledge about the history of Nara and its surroundings. One of my interests recently has been the history of Buddhism in Japan and Mr. Masaki was able to provide me details which would be difficult to access otherwise. I also found him to be very polite and courteous. Overall, it was a great experience. view more
Mitsuyuki-San was really amazing. Very friendly, patient and a good human. We booked two days with him - one day for Kyoto and the other for Nara. We're travelling with a 3yr old and an infant. He made sure that we are comfortable at every stage of the trip. Always on time, never rushing and was very flexible with our change of plans (due to time constraints). Learned a lot from him about the culture and history of Japan. His English is good. He helped us to take a lot of photos which wa... view more

Would recommend the Nara tour. No worries about what's worth seeing or how to get from point A to point B. Itinerary was all planned out and pretty much spot on for what I wanted to see. Hearing the history and stories behind the places you visit definitely gives a deeper appreciation/understanding. Masaki knows his stuff and was really enthusiastic about sharing what he knew. A pleasure to spend the afternoon with him. Thanks Masaki! view more
