Mai met us punctually at the cruise ship terminal at Ishinomaki port and she accompanied us by taxi to a local station where we caught a local train to Matsushima. We visited all the sights including beautiful gardens and temples and later went on a boat trip around the bay where she pointed out all the islands of interest.
