Toshiyo san introduced us to Kyoto which used to be the capital of Japan in the Edo period. We walked through scenic Bamboo trails with her in Arshiyama and she showed us around the buzzing streets around downtown as well. We discussed the convenience and comfort of Bullet trains sweeping the Travel and Transportation industry off late and observe the path taken by Rivers Kamogawa and Katsura river that was the Hozu river before entering the Arashiyama ravine, through Kyoto. Toshiyo san told us that Yama means mountain in Japanese and Arashiyama means Storm Mountain. Together we walked through shops selling Kimonos, souvenirs reflecting Japanese scenery, works of art and various products made from Bamboo. Thank you Toshiyo san for such an enthralling experience..
