We thoroughly enjoyed our day in Kyoto with Richard. We visited fabulous sites including the Temple of the Golden Pavilion, the bamboo forest and Zen temple and the Fushimi-Inari Shrine. A highlight of our visit was a traditional Japanese lunch at a private home. Richard was very engaging, knowledgeable, entertaining and genuine. His sense of humor was contagious. We recommend him without reservations. view more
Hiroshi is a wonderful guide and a genuinely friendly person. We felt privileged at the end of our day to have met him. As for the Kyoto full day tour, he goes out of his way and really works very hard to allow his clients to see the sights and surrounds in detail, always happy to answer questions and allows time for numerous photographs. He is very knowledgeable and we learnt alot whilst on the tour and developed a true appreciation of Japanese history, culture and traditions. His a very patien... view more

Kosuke was great!!! We couldn’t have picked a better guide. Kosuke is very friendly and he took us to some off the beaten path places so we could really see the Japanese way of life. I’ll be giving his name to some friends coming next year. Thanks for the great day Kosuke!!! view more

Richard spent a day and a half with four of us in Kyoto. We had a marvelous overview interspersed liberally with sake and tasty tidbits at the market stalls. He is knowledgeable and engaging with ready wit and an endless store of tales, more or less credible! We experienced sake tasting, a tea ceremony, evening with an apprentice geisha, a day trip to Arashiyama temple and bamboo forest. Our time there was packed with all manner of sensory stimulation not least because Richard knew where to tak... view more

Yoshie was great. His knowledge of the area and English skills are a blessing for our trip in Kyoto. Be prepared to walk a lot and fast since there are many places to see in a single day. I would recommend for teenagers and up and not suitable for young children since there’s lot of waking involve. view more
Toshiyo san introduced us to Kyoto which used to be the capital of Japan in the Edo period. We walked through scenic Bamboo trails with her in Arshiyama and she showed us around the buzzing streets around downtown as well. We discussed the convenience and comfort of Bullet trains sweeping the Travel and Transportation industry off late and observe the path taken by Rivers Kamogawa and Katsura river that was the Hozu river before entering the Arashiyama ravine, through Kyoto. Toshiyo san told us... view more
My 16 year old and I had a great time on our tour with Masaki. He really knows so much about the history of Kyoto. While we did not expect the knowledge we were given on the tour, we were amazed and enjoyed it very much. Masaki hit every area we wanted to see, and gave us information about these areas that we would have never known had we just went on our own...not to mention been able to do so much in one day! Thanks Masaki for a great day in Kyoto. Marshall view more
