Our guide Yasuna san was very accommodating with our requests. Her explanations on the various tourist spots we visited made our tourism an amazing experience filled with fun and content. Thank you very much and I would definitively ask for her guide again if we go to Kyoto view more
Fantastic guide!!! He really went the extra mile to make sure that we were able to do everything that we were hoping to do. We cannot recommend him highly enough! view more
Our guide, Jennifer, was not only knowledgeable and personable, but she gave us unique insights into Japan, from the perspective of someone who has lived, worked and studied in both the US and Japan. She speaks perfect English (and I assume Japanese, since most people treat her as a native). She is articulate, uses helpful visual aids, and is not a clock watcher. After two weeks in country, Jennifer really helped us understand what we had experienced. Oh, by the way, the food was excellent. ... view more

Mari was a delightful tour guide! We are an American family of five (children ages 9,7,4) and we only had one day in Kyoto, so we thought we would maximize our time with a tour guide. Mari and I had a couple of email exchanges before the tour to figure out the details based on what I'd been reading about and what I thought we would like to do. Mari met us in our hotel lobby on time and we talked about the area before heading to the train station to then go to the Arashiyama region. She was ver... view more

We had 8 different tour guides during our visit to Japan and Koichi was by far the best one and we liked all our guides. We truly enjoyed his company and his knowledge of the city. Our day in Kyoto would not have been possible without him. If you are going to Kyoto and have limited amount of time then you will need a driver. Without a driver you will just be spending a lot of time walking and grabbing taxis. Koichi is an excellent driver and knows how to get to your location as fast as possible ... view more
Keiko creates an itinerary based off your interests, she is incredibly well educated about Kyoto and Japan in general! Her English is great, and she is so helpful and accomodating to any of your needs. Keiko is also upfront about any costs (for us it was paying for temple entrances) before continuing. She is also quick to respond to any messages prior to the booking. Our group loved her, such a wonderful tour guide!! view more
We had a great day with Kaori discovering Kyoto on our recent cruise stop in Osaka. We met at the port and made our way to Kyoto central experiencing the Bullet train on the way. Then spent the entire day hitting the sights, enjoying a local lunch, walking 16k including 76 flights of stairs! All along the way we had great fun exploring and learning the city with Kaori. She was very knowledgeable, spoke English perfectly, and totally entertained us throughout the entire day. view more
After visiting Tokyo, Nagoya and Takayama, we met Lisa for two days In Kyoto and Nara. Lisa is an outstanding, knowledgeable and a fun person to be with. Her expertise shines through, and as she previously lived in California, made her a joy to see the sights and sounds of Japan. We worked together on our itinerary prior to arrival, but she also was totally flexible after we met her for last minute changes and additions. We felt like we were locals by the time our trip with her as our guide en... view more
We gave Ryoji a list of places we would like to see and he was able to take us to most of them using public transportation or walking. He explained the significance of many of the sites and was easy to understand. I feel like we made a good choice to use Ryoji to see many interesting places in Kyoto. view more
