I had a wonderful time with Seiko on my excursion to Wazuka and Uji. The tea fields in Wazuka were beautiful and I enjoyed shopping for green teas in Uji. Seiko was knowledgeable and we had great conversation throughout our time together. I'd highly recommend Seiko as your tour guide. view more
Hiro co-created a special interest ceramic itinerary, including some tourist highlights; and was flexible and open to new suggestions along the way. He gave us valuable information and insights. Occasionally he was challenged by our more detailed questions but he always made a real effort to understand. He also went to extraordinary lengths to locate and finally recover a cell phone, that we had left in a taxi. What an amazing country Japan is and what a sincere, caring man. Hiro, our Hero... view more
First time we booked triplelights. We really enjoyed the tour. It was very convenient that he had a car to tour us around kyoto. It was a bit fast phased but I can understand this since the itinerary was packed. We were able to go to all of the places. He's knowledge was very good. I just wished that he can give more background on some sites. I love how he is very friendly with us. Overall he is a very good and accommodating tour guide. I would definitely get and recommend him. view more
Hideo is a great guide. His English is good and he knows the site and sites well. He also moves quickly so you get to see a lot. Using trains and buses you also get a feel for the city. We walked about 10 mines during the day but with the stops etc. it did not feel difficult. I was very pleased with Hideo. view more

Kaoru was pleasant but overall uninformative providing us little information on sites we visited. She also didn't explain that we were going on trains to sites so we left our Japan rail pass at our apartment...She did have a pleasant demeanor and led us through sites once we arrived there.. view more
Toshiyo is a pleasant and knowledgeable as a private tour guide, and ultimately made our Kyoto stay very memorable. We had a great time visiting the must see places as we only spent 2days there. And also brought us to the nice restaurant at Arashiyama. Thank you. view more
My kids were tired from walking in the past few days. With Mitsu-san taken us around Kyoto, we were able to rest up and enjoyed the destinations. We visited all the sites in the itinerary despite of the local school field trip caused traffic jams in most of the sightseeing places. Mitsu-san is very accommodating. It was a pleasant experience. view more

Seiko was really wonderful. She was knowledgeable and showed us parts of Kyoto we might not have ever thought of (like where the cormorant fishing area and the statue of Genji are). She was pleasant and accommodating and was truly great to see the city with. I really enjoyed the tea district and was able to buy green tea in an old tea house where dignitaries have stopped in to visit. I will definitely recommend her services to friends and family visiting Kyoto! view more
We had a great tour with Mitsu-san! We were so tired by that point in our trip and he put up with a lot of neediness and rest stops! We changed our mind about what we wanted to do like twelve times during the day and he was right there to facilitate, making sure we had time to do the things we wanted to. We hiked up to the monkey park in Arashiyama which was not easy, and he just hopped right along like it was a tiny gentle slope. He knows EVERYTHING about all the shrines and temples and a lot o... view more
