Hiro was an excellent guide. He speaks English well and has a warm and pleasant demeanor. We enjoyed his company and his passion for Japan’s history. To supplement our guided tours he brought personal material to fill in the gaps. He lives in Nara so if you are interested in a local experience I highly recommend Hiro. view more
My husband and I had Kyoto Japanize Gardens tour with Katsuko. We’ve learned about Katsuko from our friends who were taking her tour and recommended it to us. And we really enjoyed having time with Katsuko. As first time Japan visitors we had many questions about Japanize culture. Katsuko not just answered them, but adjusted the tour to show us something we expressed interest in. She took us to the place where we could experience making and tasting matcha tea. Her lunch recommendation was excell... view more
Picked the places we want to go to and Kazu planned out the route for us. He gave us a map which showed the locations of the places we want to visit. Kazu is fit and at his age he walks much quicker than us so be prepared to walk alot! Tip:Don't pack too many locations if you can't keep up with walking, or you can also get your own car or taxi to save time on transport as places can be spread out over all of Kyoto! Definitely enjoyed our tour with Kazu and we wouldn't have done that many sights... view more

We had the pleasure of having Kaori as our guide in Kyoto. From the moment we made first contact via the Triplelight site, she quickly reached out to me to learn more about my group and I so that she could customize the experience for us. She kept in regular contact with me to see if we had any changes or new requests. Upon meeting Kaori in person, she greeted us with a big smile on her face and we all clicked instantly. She went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and that we had th... view more

We sent a car transfer request from Kyoto to Osaka via. Triple Light, from one AirBnB to the next point to point. The car and driver came 15 mins early to let you know he is ready, polite, helped with luggage, and was exactly what we wanted: a vehicle that fit 6 people comfortably and along with 6 pieces of large luggage (it was a Hi-Ace) While the booking system was slightly inconvenient, as you have to go through Triple Light website to communicate with EFG cars, especially as we wanted to ... view more

Hiroko thoughtfully curated an excellent, efficient and tailored tour that checked all the boxes for my family and me. I am an amateur photographer, and had asked Hiroko to focus on opportunities to photograph beautiful fall foliage. Hiroko planned a great itinerary for us and managed time very effectively yet respectfully so that we were able to enjoy all the main attractions as well as to take great photos. The places Hiroko took us were stunning and we had a fantastic time. She was also a... view more

Masaki (Makoon) is an excellent guide. Besides being so knowledgeable, he is charming and fun to be with. We had been to Kyoto before, but Makoon made it seem like a whole new experience. We enjoyed walking in the Gion area and seeing another side to the more formal sights in Kyoto. He was very caring and considerate as my husband has a bit of trouble walking and he made sure we took breaks and walked at his slower pace. I could not have chosen a better guide....just excellent in every way. view more
