Ikue is an amazing guide. Fluent in English, knowledgeable, efficient, kind and accommodating, she took me to some wonderful places I wouldn't have visited on my own, provided me with a lot of information and made sure I tasted the local specialties. I just wish she could be my guide in other parts of Japan as well. I highly recommend her. view more
My husband and I had a simple request: could we hire a guide to escort us to an area near Kumamoto where his grandparents lived before immigrating to the US? We just wanted to see the home place and feel what it was like. Thanks to Nao’s research and contacts, we ended up not only seeing homes and burial sites of my husband’s ancestors, but meeting relatives who presently live on his grandparents’ home site! It was a magical day, one we will never forget. Nao’s translation skills were so valuable... view more
After spending the whole day with Ikue, I found myself wishing she would be available to guide me in other parts of Japan. We learned a lot from her re: Japanese history and culture, and also about the Kyushu way of life. view more
Yukihiro San is very nice and professional. He is very response to the message and provides very clear information on the non-includes items. During the tour, he tried his best to accommodate our requests and took care of my parents, who has limited mobility. Overall speaking, I will highly recommend Yukihiro San to plan to visit Japan. view more
Ikue is a truly exceptional guide. Fluent in English, knowledgeable, professional and efficient. We were lucky she was with us on a day that I needed medical care. She made the visit to a private clinic a pleasant experience, interpreted all exchanges between the doctor and myself expertly, and secured all medicines from a nearby pharmacist. She is a great organizer as well rearranging to perfection the rest of the day which was interrupted by my unplanned emergency. She is truly rema... view more

My family had a chance to visit the lovely Mt Aso and kamishikimi kumanoimasu shrine with Koichi-san in April. Koichi-san was attentive before the trip, and he also messaged us via Triplelights to ask our preferences and recommended us some local food to try during our trip in Kagoshima/Kumamoto. He was friendly and we were also pleasantly surprised when he informed he just recently bought the transport (his car). We were honoured to be his first guests in his new car. His english is good, and w... view more
We booked TR taxi for a day trip from Kumamoto to Aso farmland and Yufuin. The trip starts at 915 from Kumamoto shinkansen station. We arrived in Aso farmland and spent 2 hours there which was great fun for our family with a young son. Then we travel to Yufuin for a walk on the main Street (the driver dropped us off outside kimono makeover shop) then we went to kinrin lake for photograph. The final stop is an onsen hotel with a family onsen. What a great day! The driver was truly wonderful. W... view more
