Mari met our group at the ship's pier and we rode the Portliner Tram to the Kobe Train Station. We took the train to Himeji and walked five blocks to the Himeji Castle. Mari was an outstanding tour guide and shared her knowledge of the region, the history of the castle and answered all of our queries. Her explanations were thorough and we learned a lot about this area. We shared a delightful lunch and returned to the ship's port in Kobe. This was a very enjoyable tour with Mari as our tour guide... view more

My family and I booked a day tour with Mr.Mitsuyuki early July. I was mainly looking for a tour guide to take us around the attractions of Mt.Rokko and due to some mobility issues, hiring a tour guide with a car was a priority. I found out about Mr.Mitsuyuki and emailed him and he was very helpful from the first email. On the tour day, he was waiting for us on time in front of our hotel in Kobe. He then took us to the cable car station and we took the cable car to the upper station. He picked us... view more

Yoshie was our tour guide in Kobe for a day and a half. From the start, communication was excellent and he was able to come up with an acceptable itinerary for our diverse party of six. He is quite flexible and was able to arrange everything we wanted to see. When we arrived in Kobe on a cruise ship, the immigration process was delayed and we were not able to reach the starting point until over an hour later, but Yoshie was still there waiting patiently for us. We were able to visit Ijinkan,... view more
We met up with Hideo at Sannomiya Station in Kobe for our afternoon tour. At the start he provided us with a clear itinerary and map of our tour for the day. We went up the hill to see Kitano Ijinkan area, back down to the Merikan Park and Mozaic Mall at the port, and then to Chinatown. Hideo provided a good history of the Kobe Port and the city in general which was very informative. Hideo was also very organized in conducting the tour. We ended the tour with dinner at a nice Japanese resta... view more
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Kobe with Hideo. As our group was made up of elderly parents, adults and young children, it was a challenge to arrange a tour that had aspects to cater to the different interests. Hideo was very helpful in sharing about all the possible areas we could explore given our fairly diverse group and after much discussion with him, we'd settled for a visit to the sake brewery, Chinatown, Kobe Animal Kingdom and a fabulous Kobe beef dinner. I appreciated ve... view more
