Takashi gave us a very good full day tour of Shirakawago. He met us at our hotel at 7:30 am and we used the public bus to get to the Kanazawa bus stztion where we took a other public bus to Shirakawago. Spent the full day walking this working village and visited all the sites. He provided insights and history at each site. Takashi recommended a good spot for a tasty and relaxing lunch. Returned to Kanazawa at 5:10 pm. While not obligated to do so, he accompanied us on the public bus back to o... view more
Takashi met us at our cruise port & we took the ship provided bus in to town. We were open to any sites he wanted to show us. We could not have asked for a better tour guide. He was excited to share his home town with us and pleased to answer any questions we had. Takashi has to be in his 70’s but he walks a pace like he is in his 20’s. So be ready for some exercise (lol). I highly recommend Takashi as your guide. You will not be disappointed! view more

We spent 9am to 5pm with Fujio-san, who took us around various spots in Kanazawa for us who were the first-time visitors. We booked his time with two days in adnance. First he asked our interest and preferences and suggested the schedule. Fujio-san was very well networked and he seemed to know many people among the guides and in the historical sites which we visited. He was also very knowledeable about the culture and history of Kanazawa. We had a great time with him. view more
Fujio reflects the unique blend of history, ritual and cultural of Japan. He is an engaging story teller about the city history. We enjoyed sharing his joy for the castle gardens and fall colors. He makes a special moment of tea drinking through his explanation of its ritual. If you want to understand the history with entertaining stories of Kanazawa, Fujio should be you guide. view more
We recently spent a full day in Kanazawa guided by Hideo. He met us at our hotel at 9:30 am. He had prepared an itinerary to show us the highlights of Kanazawa. The itinerary took us to a shrine next to the Nomura samurai house to the Omi-Chi market for lunch to Kenroku-en stunning garden to a gold and silver leaf shop and finally concluding in old town Higashichaya. It was one of our best days in Japan. view more

Takashi san did a wonderful job showing an elementary school group from Australia around Kanazawa for the day. This was a group of 33 people using public transport and he was very calm and informative catering the tour to the age of the children. We would definitely recommend Takashi san for future tours. view more
I had a truly wonderful experience in visiting Kanazawa by using Akira-san as a guide. His knowledge, kindness and humour allows me to enjoy my visit in Kanazawa. He brought me to lots of interesting places there (such as Higashiyama Geisha-House, Kenrokuen garden, Myoryuji -Ninja temple) and I really learned a lot from them. We are becoming a good friends and I would certainly use his service again when visiting Kanazawa area. view more
Takeshi San was our tour guide last 2 days in Kanazawa. We hit most of the sights in Kanazawa and half day tour of Shirakawa-Ko. He communicated with me very well through email to set up the tour, and he was very punctual, and managed our time very well at all the sights in Kanazawa. His knowledge of history was impeccable. We couldn't have asked for a better guide, and we loved Kanazawa! view more
