Yukari is a great guide! She was very communicative and open even to last minute changes. She did a great job! view more
We had a very short visit to Kanazawa as a family and Yukari helped us make the most of that. She was very well organised and punctual and had designed a great itinerary for us. Her English is good and she was very helpful and friendly in answering all our questions and making sure all our needs were met. In only 3 hours we got an overview of the key sights of Kanazawa. view more
Murakami-san was an excellent guide. He grew up in Kanazawa so he has a wealth of information about the city's history and culture. The itinerary he arranged was customized to our interests, and he was very attentive to our needs. Unfortunately we had to end our tour a little early due to some minor health issues. He seemed disappointed, so please make sure he knows that it was not because of anything he did--we were very pleased with his services. view more
Yukari accommodated our request for a timing change due to the typhoon. We ended up with a perfect sunny afternoon! She took us efficiently through the gardens, castles, and dwellings in Kanazawa. Open and kind, we enjoyed sharing with her! view more
I hired Yukari to take me to an artist studio in Kanazawa and to translate his presentation. She has done an excellent job. She is sweet, personable, trying hard, and totally recommended. view more
In developing a tour for our interests, Yukari advised in advance certain sites closed that day so that we two couples might visit them on our own. Everywhere we went together, walking or by bus - Nagamachi Samaritan District and Nomira-ku House; Museum for Traditional Products and Crafts; Kenroku-en Garden; Higashi Chaya District and Sakuda Gold Leaf - Yukari clearly explained history, context and pointed out details we could not have appreciated without her. The insights she provided defini... view more
It takes a special guide to generate enthusiasm in rain so severe, the government sent a text to everyone’s phone (including ours) to warn of the risk of flooding. Yukari is that guide. She knows her subject really well and articulated some of the cultural and historic context in excellent English. She has a sense of humour and a real love for her home town. A lesser soul might have skipped a few stops given the monsoon but not Yukari; she really cares that her guests see everything and ... view more

Chie was guiding me and my family of 8 people in total for 4,5 days around Kanazawa and Takayama. In our contact she made me believe she knew Kanazawa like no other since it was her home town, however it seemed as if she had not been there since high school and had kind of forgotten how to get around. However she tried her best to show us around the city and translated everything very well. In regards to food she showed us fantastic places to eat and drink and we had fun anyways. Would definitel... view more
From the first time I contacted Yukari san, she was very professional and excellent at customizing our family trip. I mentioned my 5 year old son and she was quick to recommend a couple kid friendly destinations and tour routes. Also we found out that the summer in Kanazawa can get REALLY HOT. Yukari san was quick to make resting stop recommendations along the way when we were getting too tired or our son was being a bit cranky. She was excellent in trying to keep our son interested throughout ... view more
Planning a trip is exhausting. Making sure everyone enjoys the trip, even more exhausting, if not impossible. I was fortunate to connect with Yukari through TripleLights, who gladly relieved me of that burden. We originally planned to visit Hiroshima and when our travel plans changed, I checked with TripleLights and Yukari's name came up, with excellent reviews and was fortunately available on the day that our ship, Diamond Princess, was scheduled for Kanazawa. Yukari was generous with her ... view more
