I am so sorry to say that we missed our tour of Tokyo due to illness at the last minute. I immediately notified Michiko who sent a text a couple of times offering to do a shorter tour or assist in any way she could. So sorry we missed the tour, but she was lovely to work with and answered all my questions leading up to our tour. If we get back to Tokyo, you can be sure we will contact her. view more
We had a very good time. Our guide Hiroshi was very polite, conversant and knew Kamakura very well. Knowing which temples were the ones we will love to see. He also made good suggestions on what to have for lunch after reserving the place. We had an easy time moving around. view more
Had a great time. Yuka is fun, young and outgoing! My family had a wonderful outing. We will re-book with Yuka next year for a Mt. Fuji hike. view more
Ryuta provided an excellent journey to ancient Samurai capital of Kamakura. Meeting us in Tokyo provided a stress free day of travel all the way to escorting us back to Tokyo. One of us is a vegetarian and Ryuta went to extra efforts to find the perfect lunch spot. Overall a terrific day outside of Tokyo. view more
We loved the tour. Hiroshi picked up in our hotel and then we traveled to Kamaura. First we enjoyed a delicious japanese food in a very typical restaurant and then we visited the Temple of Buddah and a beauttiful shintoist shrine. He was very kind and explained us a lot of japanese culture and traditions. We are thinking tu return with our daughters and of course call Hiroshi again! view more
Kazue was so gracious and kind. We took a day trip together from Shinjuku to Kamakura. Communication prior was great. We connected on a messaging app which made discussing the trip and our meeting place much easier. She kindly met me at the train station closest to me, and she guided me through the temples and shrines of Kamakura. We shared great conversation together. She was very attentive to my needs on the tour, and she wanted to make sure that I was seeing all the historical landmarks I wan... view more

Ryuta was easy to communicate with prior to the tour, he even went out of his way to try and find out about a possible sumo stable visit before we met. We were due to visit Kamakura and Ryuta made travelling to the area very easy by meeting us at our apartment in Tokyo. The tour itself was very informative and he was happy to accommodate our request to visit the Studio Ghibli shop in Kamakura. At the end of the tour Ryuta kindly took us back to Tokyo, to a different location so we could se... view more

The Kendo experience offered by Mayumi-san along with her Kendo partner, Go-san (sorry if I speeled wrong), was a great way to learn of not only Kendo as a sport but also the history and meaning behind what Kendo is. From the moment Mayumi-san picked us up from the meeting point she was trying to immerse us in the culture and history behind Yokohama and its port. how it became a trade hub which opened Japan up to the rest of the world. Once we arrived at the dojo studio, we got dressed i... view more
