Chizuru was an excellent guide, and she did an outstanding job helping us move quickly and comfortably to and from Naoshima Island by way of the Okayama Train Station, where she met our family on the morning of our day trip from Kyoto. We are a family of three adults, and we only had one day available to see Naoshima. She sheparded us from Okayama to Uno Station, then the ferry to and from the Island. We covered the Chichu Art Museum, the Benesse House Art Collection and the Art District in Honmura. We had lunch at the cafe in the Benesse House. Chizuru was very knowledgeable about the various art collections as well as the outdoor art installations and the history of the island. Her English language skills were excellent, and her friendly and kind demeanor made the trip with her very enjoyable. We finished in Naoshima approximately 5 pm, and she made reservations for us for dinner in Okayama. We then took a train back to our hotel in Kyoto arriving about 9 pm. A full day to be sure, but one that was made enjoyable and "doable" by Chizuru. We are happy to highly recommend Chizuru for this day trip. It was well worth it. Thank you, Chizuru!
Hi Steven, thank you very much for the tour review with lots of complement. I'm happy to receive it. I had a great time with your family. Before the tour you wrote me many times to inform me of your preference and requests. That helped me make plans and look for a restaurant for dinner and so on. I was impressed by your son. He is knowledgeable about the art and artists. I felt happy when I saw your son find and be excited about some artworks by the artists he knows. I appreciate that you spent some time at “ Izakaya” in Okayama and enjoyed the special products of Okayama after the tour. They are “Sawara, Spanish mackerel” and “Hiruzen Yakisoba, noodles baked on the hot iron plate”, which won the Grand Prize in B-class gourmet competition. I believe you enjoyed the whole day in Naoshima and Okayama. Thank you for a wonderful time. Chizuru
