Our plans for the day were quite ambitious - a return day visit to Art Island from Kyoto. We could not have had a better guide than Chizuru. She was very organised, incredibly well informed about the island and the art and graciously shared this knowledge. She was a delight to spend a day with and had an amazing level of energy which ensured we saw a great deal on the island (lots of walking involved). She also gauged our areas of interest and tailored the tour to cover this. We felt incre... view more

Mari has been an essential help for our trip in Naoshima from the beginning (when we started to design the itinerary) to the end of the trip. She has helped more than enough on every preparation step, discussing what would be the ideal option for us. Also, she has kindly recommended the best places and restaurants to visit according to her local expertise. During the trip, all the guests were very impressed by her kindness and spent a wonderful time. Whenever there was a small issue, Mari sugges... view more

Believe me I needed a guide to navigate the complex process of getting there and it is worth the effort if you are interested in modern art and a peaceful island. Mari was so considerate of accommodat... view more

She made things easier than if I tried to do this trip on my own within a short amount of time. We went to visit the major highlights around the island, and she was kind enough to check on crowds and reserve museum ticket in advance. After spending a day here, I'd... view more
