I am so happy that my first experience with TripleLights was with Tetsuji-san! He was very knowledgeable about many things in Gifu and so very friendly! Tetsuji-san's command of English was also very good! My friend and I greatly enjoyed our tour of Gifu with Tetsuji-san. Tetsuji-san was extremely flexible with our itinerary, I had time to do a bit of exploring on my own and ended up going to some of the places on our original itinerary so Tetsuji-san modified it for us. He took us to this beautiful park that would look even more amazing in Spring, something I would not have been able to find on my own. Visiting Shouhouji was an experience as well as we were fortunate enough that the temple master was there to give us a history tour of the temple. Unfortunately due to weather conditions, the mayor had cancelled the ukai fishing. But Tetsuji-san was one step ahead and made a reservation for us at a restaurant serving ayu, exactly what we would have had on the boat too. We were even treated to a visit to an ukai fisherman's house where we got to view the birds! A tour of a foreign city truly is done best with a local guide and Tetsuji-san really knows his stuff. He even gave me some recommendations for my next part of my travels in Takayama! I am extremely fortunate to have met such a lovely person and hope that I will be able to meet him again one day! And perhaps he can one day come to Singapore where I can show him around! :) My only regret from this trip is not having taken a group photo together with Tetsuji-san. But, there's always next time! :)
I can’t thank you enough for your so much appreciation to me, though you regrettably didn’t enjoy viewing Ukai on the boat. I apologize to you instead of the mayor. However, I believe his decision was correct from the security point of view. As you mentioned, you always have a next time. I am really looking forward to seeing you in the not-so-far future.
