Hello. Thank you for your interest in Japan. I am a tour guide living in central Tokyo area. My hobby is travel, taking photos, watching sports, etc. I have visited more than thirty countries on business or vacation. While I was in overseas countries, I encountered a lot of troubles. But many people at my travel destination kindly helped me and I could do what I wanted to do. To do something in return for their kindness, I became a tour guide.
As a guide, I have offered tours for more than hundreds of tourists all over the world. Each tourist has the different style of sightseeing. Through experience, I have got better skills to arrange the tour flexibly.
Your stay in Japan must be very important moment. I would like to show you unique aspects of Japan. It is possible to create a customized tour for you to meet your requests. Please tell me what kind of sightseeing you would like to enjoy. Feel free to contact me.

Many people arrive at Narita Airport, but directly go to Tokyo or other areas.
However, there are many good places to visit near Narita.
I have been living in Chiba for more than 25 years and know about this area including Narita very well. If you arrive at or leave Narita Airport and have a half or full day in Narita, please contact me! I am willing to guide you in this area.
Another area I would like to guide you is Tohoku District, including my hometown, Iwate.
There are also many good places, but most people do not know about this District.
You can easily visit there in 2 hours by Shinkansen (Bullet Train).
If you have got a JR pass, you do not Need to worry about transportation fee.
If you are interested in this District, please contact me. I can help you to make a plan.
I am looking Forward to Meeting you soon in Japan!
I’m Hiroki, national licensed guide interpreter focusing on offering tours on the subject of hidden Japan charms, such as indigenous cultures, life styles, and highly skilled craftsmanship!!
Let me now intoroduce myself little bit, I’ve been living in Chiba city near Tokyo for more than 40 years since when I was a student of a university located in Tokyo.
I studied commercial science at the university.(Bachelor of business and commerce)
Incidentally, my graduate thesis topic was ”Rise of handicraft manufacturing in the late Edo period”.
After graduation, I joined a petrochemical company in 1980. As is customary with Japanese style lifetime emplpoyment, I worked for the company until the retirement in 2014!!(same company for 34 years!!)
And,after passing the state examination in the year 2015, I’ve started a new career of a guide interpreter as my second life.
Since then,I maily had an actual experience of an interpreter in a variety of traditional Japanese culture workshops for foreign tourists.(Specifically,Chanoyu-TeaCeremony,Ikebana-flower Arranging,Shodo-Calligraphy,Tougei-Pottery,Washoku-Japanese Cuisine,Iai-The art of Drawing the Sword, and so on.)
Fortunately,as every instructor in the workshops was an authority on the subject, I was able to develop a capability of giving proper explanation on Japanese culture through the great experience of acting as an interpreter with the masters.
Additionally, for all my long experience in petrochemical industory, the reason for choosing a brand-new career is to make my dream of transmmiting traditinal Japanese culture to the people all over the world come true.(I’ve always wanted to do this kind of thing after being inspired by my ancestral origin of being Samurai retainer served a Daimyo feudal lord for generations!!)
And so, that’s why I’m so happy to have a great opportunity to make your trip in Japan much more enjoyable!!
I’m really looking forward to seeing you in my tours!!
Kon-ni-chi-wa. Hello! I'm Kaori, having lived in Tokyo for 20 years since I got married with a photographer. I'm originally from Shizuoka prefecture which has Mt.Fuji, the highest mountain in Japan.
I took 2 working-holiday-visa stays in my younger days. One is in Toronto, Canada, and another is Australia touring by motorcycle. One year respectively.
I love travel both international and domestic, especially by motorcycle. That's why I love helping individual travelers rather than normal package tours, cause I ,myself, love travel freely.
I love nature, trekking, greenery, cycling and food.
I am a national government licensed guide. So I've got deep knowledge of Japanese culture and history. I really enjoy talking about Japanese way of life with people from different cultures. But I'm so flexible that I don't bother if you're not so interested in.
We see only what you want to see, and talk only what you want to talk about. That's my style. All what you want is my choice. If you don't know what to want, I can help you with that.
I'm outgoing,(but organized well), very easy to get along with anybody, including small kids to teenagers.
I can't wait to see you soon!
I do regular tours, but also love local walking. If you're interested in off-the beaten paths, refer to below. I'd love to arrange the mix of major sightseeing spots and local sights, too. Feel free to ask me any arrangements with my tours.
