What to Expect
In this course, you can enjoy learning how to make three different kinds of sushi. We will make sushi rolls, Nigiri zushi (hand shaped sushi) and Gunkan maki (Ship shaped sushi). After making your own sushi, it's time for eating your own sushi!
We'll start from making the sushi vinegar and the sushi rice, then we will try to make sushi rolls using a traditional tool, bamboo mat. After that we will make Nigiri sushi and the Gunkan sushi.
I will order the toppings after hearing your preference and food allergy. You will pick the toppings up and pay at a local super market on the way to the venue.
You can select about 5 toppings of Nigiri zushi from the list below. Besides these toppings, I will prepare other vegetables like cucumber, avocado, cream cheese, sweet red pepper for sushi rolls and Gunkan sushi.
Topping list: tuna, salmon, sea bream(snapper), boiled-prawn,sweet raw shrimp, scallop, squid, salmon roe(Ikura), egg omelet, Octopus
As I need to order the ingredients from a fish store in advance, you need to book this program 2 days before to your program date at least.
The venue is my house located near Futako Tamagawa station which is about 15 minutes from Shibuya station by metro Hanzomon line. We will meet at the ticket gate of Futako Tamagawa station. It takes about 7 minutes on foot from Futako tamagawa station to the venue. If you need, I can pick you up at your hotel. (extra charge is needed.)
There are several shopping malls near Futako Tamagawa station such as Takashimaya department store.
So you can get some Sushi tools after learning how to make sushi and get ready for Sushi party at your home!!
