Hello, I'm Keiko. I have two national qualifications as a tour guide, one is English, and the other is German. I was brought up in Kyoto, among a lot of old Buddhist temples and Shinto shrines.(ex. Kiyomizu Temple, Toji Temple, Yasaka Shrine, Heian Shrine, Fushimi Inari Shrine and so on) Some of them are now famous worldwide and on the UNESCO World Heritage List. From childhood, a daily sight with a lot of tourists from abroad has been quite normal for me. I had already been thinking,"What can I do for them?" (Of course, I'm thinking of it today, too.) And the answer was,"I would be a guide, to make their time in Kyoto much more wonderful". At last, the time has come! There are uncountable sightseeing spots in Kyoto, so you'll need some help, if you want to see and go around the city efficiently. It's much better with a guide who knows Kyoto very well, just like me! And furthermore, it'll lead you to a better understanding of Japanese culture. Don't hesitate to ask me, I can arrange the best trip for you, with a lot of choices and something to fit your taste.

“ Lovely ride in Western Kyoto ”

Keiko was a terrific guide. We explored Western Kyoto shrines and the bamboo forest by bicycle. She shared her knowledge of the history of the area. She was very flexible about adjusting the timing to suit our needs and adding another person on short notice. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience with her as our guide.

“ Fantastic guide - best bike tour! ”

Keiko provided perhaps the finest moss garden tour in Japan. Her Bicycle Tour of Kyoto Temples and Shrines was a superb and highly recommended experience for those who love gardens and to depart from the beaten and crowded tourist scene. Keiko speaks very good English, she’s pleasant, quick to smile and awaited patiently while my family soaked up the finest moss gardens that we’ve encountered anywhere on planet Earth. Keiko shared her knowledge of the Kyoto shrines, temples, and Flora in the area, taking time to tell the stories of the original creators of the temples, some inspiring, some sad, but all very interesting. Keiko graciously accommodated us in taking family photographs and stopping to take scenic photos for which we are grateful. My wife, family and I very much enjoyed our experience with Keiko and highly recommend both Keiko and the Bike tour she provides in Kyoto. Finally, we appreciate Keiko making the extra effort after the tour to identify a shop in Kyoto to purchase exquisite Japanese umbrellas. Keiko took the time to find and email us the information the evening after our tour.

“ Kyoto tour and transport transfer assistance ”

We found Keiko to be an excellent guide, she was very organised and went out of her way to ensure we got to visit the key areas of interest to us. We engaged her services on two occasions and each time she was very knowledgeable and helpful and a pleasure to be with. She contributed a lot to our enjoyment of Kyoto. We thoroughly recommend her services.

“ Keiko was excellent! ”

Keiko was so kind to adjust to the changes we requested for the tour. She communicated with us consistently and we are very thankful that we got to meet her. We loved our Arashiyama Tour with her and it was such a lovely day spent in Kyoto with all the best tourist spots checked from our itinerary with perfectly calculated timing. My Mom and I are glad to gain a friend in Keiko and we will surely be booking her again when we come back... Arigatou Gozaimasu, Keiko and TripleLights!

“ A Fascinating View of Kyoto ”

Keiko is a Kyoto native and knows her city well. The Arashiyama area of the city, outside the centre, is home to the famous Bamboo Forest and to many amazing temples and shrines. Doing a cycle tour allowed us to see so much more in a day than doing a similar route on foot, and I strongly recommend this tour. Keiko guided us round a logical route through the area, offering a great insight into the history and cultural significance of the buildings we visited. Please do consider this wonderful tour - you won't regret it!

I really enjoyed spending the day exploring Arashiyama with Keiko. She was very kind and shared her culture and knowledge of the beautiful old temples and shrines we visited. I love the pace of biking to get from place to place. The bamboo forest is enchanting. We enjoyed a simple picnic lunch by the river. A highlight for me was visiting the monkey park.

Keiko was a great guide. We had tons of fun! Not only was she very knowledgable of the Arashiyama area, she was inquisitive and tailored our tour to our specific interests. She is a warm and friendly person, truly an asset to your company. I will recommend her to my traveling friends. Thank you so much, Sally and Gianmarco Pagliai
