The Red-Crowned Cranes known as snow ballerinas are our main photographic subject. You'll capture their mesmerizing dance courtship dance as they bow to one another, raise their heads towards the sky; a pair, or the entire flock, will leap into the air and call in call in unison to sanctify their bond. Your photography workshop leader will use his years of experience to get the best shots fast.

Itinerary

  • Kushiro City Red-crowned Crane Natural Park

  • The Kushiro Marshland (釧路湿原, Kushiro Shitsugen)

  • Photograph the endangered Red-Crowned Cranes in Japan known as Snow Ballerinas

  • Possibly photograph The Steller's Sea Eagles and other species of eagles who drop in from time to time to visit with the Red-Crowned Cranes

  • Potential encounters with the Eizo Red-tailed Fox

  • Hokkaido Winter Wonderland Landscape Photography and One of the Most Spectacular Sunsets

Travel Health Insurance (about ¥5,000 per person)
Extended Tour Time (beyond stated tour time limit - ¥20,000 yen per each extra hour beyond allotted tour time)
Alcoholic Beverages (not included and generally frowned upon during course of tour - about ¥150 per drink)
Items of a Personal Nature (snacks - widely varies, but about ¥200 per snack purchased)
Transportation to Kushiro meeting point from Tokyo (about ¥50,000 yen, but depends on clients use of JR Rail Pass and flight schedules)
