This tour will give an insight into the founding of Dublin by the Vikings to a recent period of economic boom (1995-2010) referred to as the Celtic Tiger. Following the tour, the participant will have a good overview of Dublin’s history including, architecture, the Viking influence, the British arrival and departure, famous persons that fought for independence, Irish literary icons, modern Dublin and the impact of the recent financial crash and Ireland’s recovery.
