"Your Name" is a really hard movie to understand the story,  isn't it ?

At the 1st time to watch the anime movie "Your Name",  I was just confused.

After 3rd time to watch,  I found why I was confused.

( Yes )    Mitsuha and Taki are the same age as 17, when they were swapping their spirits each other.

( ? )      When Mitsuha found Taki in the train, Taki was still a junior high school student, 14 years old.

( ? )      Right after Taki lost E-mail communication with Mitsuha, he visited Itomori. But the disaster happened 3 years ago.

( ? )      When finally they met on the staircase.  Mitsuha was 25 years old and Taki was 22.

After 7th time watch,  I reached the answer.   My conclusion is,

( Yes )     Mitsuha is 3 years older than Taki.  And they were swapping their spirits frequently, beyond DISTANCE and TIME.

(between 17years old Mitsuha and 17years old Taki) ,  That’s why they believed thy are the same age of 17.

( Yes )     When Mitsuha found Taki in the train, Taki was still junior high school student, 14 years old.

( Yes )     Right after Taki lost E-mail communication with Mitsuha, He visited Itomori. but the disaster happened 3 years ago.

( Yes )     When finally they met on the staircase.  Mitsuha was 25 years old and Taki was 22.

I hope my conclusion can help you to enjoy the movie "Your Name".

Highly recommended tour and tour guide. We loved every minute of our tour with Shuichi. His tour was informative and interesting. He went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic day and was so great with the kids. Nothing was too much trouble and and we had a fabulous day. The kids keep asking where Shu is today...
