It snowed on the day and I guided foreign visitors in Kyoto. But it’ a lucky day because I could see the Kinkakuji Temple covered with snow for the first time. The Golden Pavilion looked like wearing a white hat with Kitayama Mountain in the background. Gold was perfectly matched with white snow. It was also like a Japanese-style painting with elegance and tranquility. Foreign tourists also admired the white Kinkakuji Temple though it was very cold day, today. And we enjoyed hot Japanese soba, back wheat noodle at a very traditional soba restaurant in Kyoto.
