What are these black  spiky balls? The answer is sea urchin. Many unfamiliar fish and seafoods like eel, loach and octopus can be found in the inner market. It's very fun to encounter something new here.

<Tsukiji Festival>

Tsukiji Festival was held during this weekends, June 13 and 14 . It's a festival of Namiyoke shine which is located in the outer market. People in Tsukiji dressed up their festival custume called Happi coat and wore split toe shoes called Tabi. They were carring the portable shrine called mikoshi and the face of giant Shishi lion mikoshi on their sholders and walking around the town to pray for their bussiness success and express their gratitude toward Gods. It was a special moment for both residence and visitors in Tsukiji.Tsukiji Fish MarketTsukiji Fish MarketTsukiji Fish Market

Yukiko took us through two whirlwind days around Tokyo. She was punctual, knowledgeable, and friendly! Just having her lead us through the public transportation nightmare that is the Tokyo transit system was worth every penny spent on a private guide. Thanks for an amazing trip!

Yukiko was our guide in Tokyo. We had 2 days booked for my family, my husband and 2 children ages 11 and 12. Yukkio was very knowledgeable and flexible, we never felt pressure to keep to the itinerary. She picked great sites and restaurants for us. She even went out of her way to find a soccer shop, so my son could purchase a Japanese Soccer shirt! She really did her best to ensure that the kids...

Yukiko taught an origami lesson to three children, 8,10, and 12 years old. She was wonderful! She began with simple objects and moved to increasingly complicated creations as the kids caught on quickly through her patient and skillful instruction. She wore a kimono which they also loved, and really enjoyed their time with her. I'd highly recommend Yukiko to any family!

We were coming to Japan as a 3 generation family with ages 6-76. We were initially skeptical about any tour guides thinking we could manage on our own with HYPERDIA and google maps. Wow we were all surprised at how easy it was to maneuver with a guide the first day. We booked two half days and asked all the questions we could so we could figure out what we wanted and how to move forward. Yokik...

Having never been to Japan before and not speaking a word of Japanese we were a bit nervous about our trip. This tour was a great introduction to Japan and really helped us feel a lot more at ease. Yukiko was a fabulous guide both informative and very friendly. We did half day tour with visits to the tsujiki fish market, hamarikyu gardens and finished up with a boat taxi up to the asakusa area. ...
