Tokyo Must See Spots - 6 Hour Half Day Tour

by Luke - TripleLights travel specialist

We introduce the most popular itineraries amongst our customers who choose tours on Triplelights. We hope it helps you to plan your perfect itinerary during your trip to Japan. In our seventeenth post of the series, we focus on the best half day tour of the must see places in Tokyo.

Start this six hour tour with a morning visit to the fish market. Here you can see the freshest fish and vegetables Tokyo has to offer. Following the market, we walk to the nearby Hamarikyu, a garden maintaining the essence of the Edo period. After exploring the garden, relax on a cruise along the river to the final destination, the historic area of Asakusa.

1. Tsukiji Fish Market

Tokyo Must See Spots - 6 Hour Half Day Tour
One of the greatest fish markets in the world, you can visit both the inner and outer market and try the freshest seafood that Tokyo has to offer. Crowds of people gather here, and early morning you can enjoy the sound of market traders and the busy delivery cars racing around to get their daily catch ready for all of Tokyo. We recommend trying sushi for breakfast at one of the many restaurants that litter the streets.

Looking out onto Tokyo Bay, Hamarikyu Gardens are beautiful, well maintained, and offer a nice distraction from the chaos of the city. Despite being in the heart of Tokyo, and constantly reminded of that fact by the skyscrapers that make up the backdrop, the gardens can still be thoroughly enjoyed. A small tea house offers matcha drinks, confectionary, and great garden views.

Relax and take in the scenery and the cool breeze, as you drift along the Sumida River. Refreshments are provided on board, and the attractive view of Tokyo from a boat offers a varying perspective to the usual sightseeing methods.

He was extremely knowledgable about everything we did on our tour His English comprehension was excellent and Akira went way above what we expected. He was warm, funn...

2 days ago Traveler: Jeffery -   Tour Guide: Dai

We had a group of four and sent Dai a list of things we were interested in and he did an incredible job of planning a great day around the things we wanted to do. He was informative and personable. His schedule was aggressive but he was very accommodating. The little things are what separated him from any tour guide I have ever had: He was attentive to how long we wanted to stay places, could anti...

“ Tea ceremony ”

Very Good
2 days ago Traveler: Carol -   Tour Guide: Hiromi

Hiromi found a place that would do traditional tea ceremony on a Sunday which apparently is unusual in Tokyo. Hiromi and the lady who conducted the tea ceremony were both very knowledgable and interesting. Hiromi also took us to a small garden that was very peaceful and pretty yet still in the middle of Tokyo. The day was very enjoyable.
