So far, I had been eagerly searching the grave of Gozaemon HAIGO (拝郷五左衛門) at around Shirakisaki forest (新羅崎の森壕), and had never been able to find it. But I succeeded in locating it today along a hillside at last…the tombstone stood obscurely in the forest, being covered with a lot of dead leaves since last fall. HAIGO used to be the master of Daisho-ji castle (大聖寺) and was renowned as the bravest warlord, striking fear in the heart of streaming child. But, he was plunged into a heroic death in 1583, being surrounded with so-called the Seven Spears (賤ヶ岳の７本槍) at the lakeside of Yogo. He was 35 years then.
