14 minutes ago Traveler: Philemon -   Tour Guide: AKIRA

Akira was a wonderful way to begin my adventures in Japan. He expertly led me through some major sites, but he also took me to some inner-city neighborhoods and gave insight related to life in Tokyo. As we made our way through the city, he gave historical and cultural commentary. Polite and fun discussions occurred throughout. It was simply delightful the entire time. An affordable and highly reco...

6 hours ago Traveler: Blaine -   Tour Guide: Chie

This was my first time ever in Tokyo, and knowing that language would be a barrier to my exploration of the city, I worked with Chie to build a tour to see Tokyo the way I want to see things: Start with the normal "tourist" places, but get off the beaten path as fast as possible. Chie was absolutely brilliant in how she orchestrated the day. We began with a tour of the fishmarkets which inc...

Dai was great! He's an excellent guide who knows a lot about Tokyo (and the Metro system at the back of his hand). He worked with our group to combine a day that combined the VERY different interests of its members. I especially liked how he introduced Nezu Shrine as an historical place, but also as a living place of worship.
