Sumida river cruse & Asakusa's secret garden

I had a very nice day with my friend.

We took a river cruse ship from Hamamatsu-cho.  The cruse took 40minutes to Asakusa.

Thirteen Bridges are being crossed over Smumida River.  Each bridge has its unique shape and style.

There should be full bloomed cherry blossoms on the both sides of the bank.

But, unfortunately, weather in Japan this year is very cold.  Cherry blossoms were still hiding at that time.

What is worth, it was raining on the day when we rode the cruse ship.  Look at the pictures with rain drops!

But the cruse itself was comfortable because of its roof, and also we could relax in the ship because of less people.

We arrived at Asakusa at around 11:30.  Compared to sunny days, There seemed to be less people here, too.

But still many people....of course, Japan is one of Asian countries!  Why not?

We decided not to eat lunch first.  In stead, we ate B rank gourmets at stalls .   A fried meatball,  a curry bread,  a denish,

and a fish-shaped pancake with red beans(taiyaki) !!

My favorite one is a fried meatball.   Many people was lining, but it's still worth it.

After finishing eating,  we visited Denpo-in garden which is one of the best Japanese garden in Tokyo.

But Denpo-in garden is not usually opened to the public.  It is only opend from March 10th to May 8th.

You should never fail to get this chance!  The garden will soon enjoy the best season.

It was still raining, but my friend and I enjoyed its treasures inside the building.   There are many huge votive tablets carved or

drawn pictures.  So gorgeous masterpieces!  But pictures were not allowed to be taken!

After watching around  thousands of shops, we entered one of okonomiyaki restaurant.

Okonomiyaki is one of Japanese original food which looks like pizza.  But I think okonomiyaki is far healthier and more delicious

than pizza because it contains a lot of vegetables.

But , the day,  I prefered monjayaki.  Monjayaki is a very strange snack even though ingredients are almost the same as okonomiyaki.

I hope you will try it at least once.    Maybe you will either be addictive or  never try it again.  I am the formar person ^^/

I make this experience to a  small tour.   If you want to join me, why don't you apply it from this URL?   Let's make a fine monjayaki!

We had a great day in Tokyo with Kyoko as our guide. It was amazing how the time went by, but we were able to do things we would not have done on our own. Thank you, Kyoko, for a wonderful experience.

I spent a lovely day with Kyoko and saw more of Tokyo than I would have on my own. Her English is excellent and she’s easy to understand. Kyoko used to be a teacher and that was evident when she easily explained what we were seeing. She was quick to communicate and answer my many questions before my tour. She also followed up after my tour to make sure I arrived back at my hotel. Kyoko is a gem an...

Kyoko took my family of 8 for a day in hakone and it was worth every yen/penny. She took the stress of public transportation away from us for the day and accommodated my family of 2 sets of elderly parents with one using cane/wheelchair and 2 toddlers. Personable and just lovely of a person. Would love to have Kyoko take us out on more adventures the next time we come back. Thank you so much Kyoko...

Kyoko was an absolute delight. She was knowledgeable and very kind. We appreciated her patience as we had an infant with us. It was a very hot day in Tokyo when we visited and Kyoko showed us all the sites we requested using the most convient and efficient modes of transportation available. I especially appreciated her limiting the amount of walking we would have otherwise had to do. When we ...

My wife and I read many of the prior reviews (spoiler: they are all good and they are all accurate) before booking Kyoko so we were expecting a nice, qualified person to show us around for our first day, and first time, in Tokyo. But this woman is truly one of the sweetest people we've met and my family just fell in love with her. We did ourselves an injustice booking only one day with her, but...

My family and I booked a one day trip to Hakone with Kyoko, and we had a wonderful time. We couldn't stop talking about her for days! I have booked a total of 4 tour guides with Triplelights, and Kyoko is my favorite! Prior to the tour, besides the detailed timeline, she even emailed me the weather and recommendations of what to bring to make the trip more enjoyable. I was very impressed with ...
