I booked Yumi for my first day in Tokyo to show me around and to help me learn the subway system. Yumi responded very quickly to my enquiry and after finding out which places I was interested in visiting, she came up with a plan for our day together. She met me at my hotel and we spent the day exploring Tokyo by train and on foot. At the end of our tour she returned me to my hotel and gave me b...

It’s not how much you see, but what and how much you can learn in one day, not just about this great city, but also about its people. People like Yumi, friendly, interesting, informative, knowable, willing to go out of her way, all add to one’s experiences and instill an interest and yearning to return. Yumi was the perfect guide for us.

Yumi is a wonderful guide. We had a fantastic day with her. We were able to visit a lot of great places which we would never have found by ourselves. She explained the metro system which is so complicated especially if you can’t read the Japanese signs. We loved the shrines and the temple we went to where we learnt of the symbols and how to offer a prayer. She took us to various shopping places wh...

Yumi met our family in the lobby of our hotel with tons of maps and information about Tokyo for us to keep during our stay. During the next two-hours, she showed us all over Shinjuku, taught us how to use the subway, filled us in on Japanese customs and history, and made sure we were set for the rest of our vacation. She is very sweet and knowledgeable. We all loved the tour with Yumi and highl...

From the moment we met Yumi for our Shinjuku tour, we liked her right away. We found her to be warm, friendly and genuine. She is very approachable and very helpful. You can feel that she likes what she's doing. Without her, we would have been lost in Shinjuku. She even went out of her way to find us a ramen place close to our hotel which turned out to be delicious! Without hesitation, I can reco...

Yumi was so patient with us on the first day of our arrival to Tokyo from Australia. We are a family of 4 with two young kids. We didn’t get much sleep on the plane so the kids were so tired and hungry but Yumi accommodated our needs. We learnt so much and Yumi’s guide on Tokyo subway system and JR made it easy for us to navigate the Tokyo train system. What a great introduction to Tokyo. T...
