Offering Prayers at Shrines in Tokyo

by Akio

Why do people go to a shrine? Some people want to pray for their health, prosperity and long life. High School students would pray for passing their entrance examinations for colleges and universities. Here is a couple of pictures of The Japan women's national volleyball team at Meiji Shrine offering prayers for victories in international tournaments.

Hi I'm Akio. I'm a friendly and customer-centered tour guide with a good knowledge of Japanese culture, history, business and daily life. I'm a kind of person who is liked by everybody, regardless of gender, age or nationality. I am particularly thoughtful of my senior citizen clients. You can rest assured that I will show you around at a more comfortable pace. As I have travelled to 53 countries, I can explain about our country in comparison with the rest of the world. My major was economics at university, and I had worked as board director for an international logistics company for many years before I became a licensed tour guide. If you are interested in Japanese politics, economy, business, corporate culture, financial situation, and so on, I am at your disposal to answer any questions you may have. A client says I have a good sense of humor and prompt response. I specialize in showing my valuable clients around Tokyo and its vicinity full day.
