On May 5th, It is Children's Day , a holiday, in Japan.
We celebrate children's growth by doing some events.
In my house, I decolated my son's samurai worriors' helmet and armor.
My father bought them when my son was born.
It is really gorgeous! The size is of course smaller , but its skill to make this reprica is used the same skill when craftmen make real helmets and armors.
The fish on its left is called Koinobori.
You can see its big ones streaming in parks or some houses.
The sword of this samurai worrior seems real!
We usually offer this samurai worrior (reprica ^^;) Kashiwa-mochi rice cake.
But I forgot to buy it. Instead I offered origami to him.
Paper clane, paper helmet, and paper shuriken.
He will play with them while Kashiwa-mochi arrives!
