The National Diet Building since 1936

Japan has a constitutional monarchy. Japan's constitution stipulates the Emperor is a symbol of the state. It has the basic principles such as the sovereignty of the people, respect for fundamental human rights and pacifism. Members of both the House of Representatives and the House of Councillors are elected in general elections. The National Diet Building consists of the right wing, the House of Concillors and the left wing, the House of Representatives. People can visit it and make a study tour. I experienced it a long time ago as a elementary school student. Near the building, there is the Memorial Museum of Constitutional Government in which a model assembly hall is exhibited and visitors can take a seat(the photo below) . If you are interested in such a study tour, I will make your itinerary. Why don't you join me?

As I am a 60 year old man, born in Tokyo, graduated from a university in Tokyo and worked for a leading paper wholesale company at its headquarters for 35 years, I am an Edokko or a native Tokyoite. I am familiar with various interesting places in Tokyo and the Kanto area such as historic spots, scenic beauty, entertainment, restaurants and so on. Although I basically provide several regular walking tours for visitors from abroad, I am willing to arrange your tour plan in a customized way according to your interest. If I receive your inquiry, I am ready to hear your interest and what you want to experience, and discuss your plan with you in advance.
Let's walk about in or around Tokyo!
