1. Tsuruoka Hachiman-gu Shrine

Kamakura One Day Tour - Shrines, Islands, and a Great Buddha

A popular shrine due to its many events and festivals, especially during the New Year, Tsuruoka Hachiman-gu is perhaps one of the most famous Hachiman shrines amongst 80,000. The thing that makes this particular shrine stand out though, is the wealth of nature within the shrine complex, particularly its overabundance of cherry blossom trees, which become a popular attraction during spring.

3. Great Buddha (Kotoku-in)

Kotoku-in Temple is the most popular tourist attraction in Kamakura, and people visit the area specifically to see the Great Buddha. She tried to make everyone comfortable and cared to personally make sure everyone was accounted for. You could...

We had the pleasure of having Eiko as our guide on an all day tour of Kamakura. She came to Tokyo and met us right on time at our hotel lobby.
