Ise-jingu, the most important and largest sanctuary in Japan

Ise-jingu is a Shinto shrine which is considered the most important sanctuary for the Japanese. There are countless shrines in Japan, but the Ise-jingu, especially the Naiku has been one of the most popular shrines, and has been considered a symbol spiritual symbol of Japan.  ‘Ise-jingu’ consists of 125 shrines, including the main shrine the ‘Naiku (inner shrine), its pairing shrine ‘the Geku (outer shrine)’ and their affiliated 123 shrines.
