There is a long samurai story in Japan.  Where they came from and when they had gone away ?  A lot of elaborating samurai goods such as armors, helmets and brilliant swords are telling their deep history and turbulent stories here. After Meiji restoration mid-19th century, advent of new era came out, so sadly there were no place that samurai could live by theri martial skill.   Modern military from weetern countries replaced them with guns.  YES! Movie LAST SAMURAI, starring by Tom Cruise, is beautifully telling its real end.  Nothing can last forever this world.  This is Japanese concept since olden days, once-in-a-life time-moment is so beautiful.

There were a lot of iron sands mining in the river of western Japan.  By collecting iron sand and smelting, many sword smiths competeted to forging high quality Japanese swords mainly during 15-19 century.  But skilfull sword smiths are no more,, only few.   As a steel engneer, I feel sad, but this is reality.

It is said the weigt of armors is 30 to 40 kg, so I think a samurai has a strong muscle,,,

Hello my name is Shinichiro Yamana, very long, so please call me just SHIN.
I was born in Kobe, international port town, and grew up in Kyoto, 1000 year old capital in Japan.
Now I live in Kawasaki city, between Tokyo or Yokohama. That's why I am familiar with all tour courses in the east Japan and west Japan. My olden Kyoto villa near Silver Pavilion welcomes you to visit and get relax on the Tatami mat floor with a green tea. After I retired from Japanese steel company as an steel engineer, I have been enjoying a nice international job, tour guide, which greatly changes my life and opens my eyes widely because of getting to know a lot of wonderful visitors like you from all over the world.
It is my great pleasure to meet you and go to off the beaten paths together, Tokyo, Hakone, Kamakura, Kyoto, Osaka, Nara and many places wherever you like. I think, there are 100 travelers, there must be 100 kinds of likes and tastes. So it is my great fun to tailor your original plan in Japan.
If you are fed up with stereotyped tour guide books and embarrassed to decide where to go, please send me email anytime. I feel happy to assist you to have an unforgettable trip in Japan all the seasons.
Yes, being with you in a tour is just short moment, however, this brilliant moment will keep on shining as an unforgettable memories in your whole life. I believe new experiences will change our life and mind.
