Looks yummy! These are replica foods made from silicon. The history of replica foods back to about 90 years  ago.  People's dietary habits had started to change little by little after the Meiji Restoration.  Japanese people started to enjoy eating out at western style restaurants. Replica foods helped the people at that time as 3D menu to figure out what the dishes were like.

Haruko-san was such a wonderful guide. She knew interesting historical information off the top of her head, she was glad to answer any questions we had, happy to make unexpected stops, always pleased to take pictures for us, and even took the time to help me improve my Japanese! A big thank you Haruko for guiding us around Tokyo and personalising the tour to areas we wanted to see. Also your help with negotiating subway and rail which subsequently enabled us to give it a go ourselves. Overall a wonderful experience.

My family and I met Haruko for a morning at Meiji Shrine followed by a nice Tonkatsu lunch. We were impressed by not only her knowledge but also that she talked to each of us (ages ranged from 11 - 79). Would definitely recommend her!

“ Wonderful Tsukiji Market Tour! ”

We did a Tsukiji Market Tour with Haruko and she is an excellent tour guide. We learned so much from her about the market and she was patient with our kids (7 and 4 years old). I think the market would have been a stressful place for our family to navigate alone, but with Haruko we were able to truly enjoy ourselves. I highly recommend booking a tour with Haruko!

We thoughly enjoyed our two days with Haruko. We experienced a plane delay and she accommodated our changed schedules and a rain storm, shared her insights and love of the city, and was both warm and professional. Highlights were the museums and gardens, the markets and a visit to a kimono shop! We plan to meet again on our next trip.

Haruko is very fun loving. She is very flexible. Change as we go. I had one must to do list that is Tsukiji market and she did her best to show me around. This is the start of the busy season, there is too many people to really stop and tell stories. I wanted also to see the old and the new in tokyo and she just keep going. Every question ask, she tries to help me understand why.
