We gave Ryoji a list of places we would like to see and he was able to take us to most of them using public transportation or walking. He explained the significance of many of the sites and was easy to understand. I feel like we made a good choice to use Ryoji to see many interesting places in Kyoto.

Ryoji was a knowledgable and fun guide. We got lost getting to the starting point but he patiently waited until we found him. He was able to answer all of our questions and easily navigated us around Gion to places of interest by using routes that avoided the big hordes of tourists. My family and I had a great time exploring Kyoto at night with Ryoji. My parents especially loved the garden Ryoji brought us to and we were able to walk around in both the well-known and unassuming spots in Kyoto at a leisurely pace. Would definitely recommend Ryoji to other travelers/tourists.

We enjoyed a fun day in Kyoto with Ryoji. He took us to some awesome places and which both ourselves and our two boys enjoyed! Ryoji was very thoughtful and brought us to a nice lunch spot with a wide selection of local specialities even the kids had many choices to choose from.

Ryoji told us many interesting details about the geisha districts and landmarks, and also about the geiko / maiko. He was also very helpful and accomodating to our needs and requests. My personal favourite part of the tour was our visit to the "secret garden", a very charming private garden attached to a restaurant.
