Crepe is a type of dessert with a very thin pancake wrapping your choice of fruit, syrup, ice cream, and milk. Although crepe originated in France and is usually served in fancy plates, in Japan, crepes are widely sold in food carts in streets and Japanese festivals. This made crepe a very popular sweet treat of all seasons all over Japan.

Japanese crepes can be bought with a variety of raw/uncooked fillings and toppings. You can have strawberries, blueberries, apples, cherries, kiwi... your choice of fruit, really. Not to mention a yummy syrup and ice cream too. The batter used for the pancake-like wrap also uses less butter than French crepes.
