Today, the second Monday of January is national holiday as a day to congratulate and encourage youths who have reached the age of 20 years during the year. The ceremony for the youths is held in many cities all over Japan. We are able to see young women wearing beautiful Komono at shrine and temple, and anywhere.
This is my daughter’s and my son’s photo on Coming-of-Age day a few years ago.
As you see the above, young men are easy to prepare.
