Traditional Japanese theatrical arts include Kabuki, Noh, Kyogen and Bunraku, of which Kabuki is most popular today and was developed in the Edo(now Tokyo) period(1603-1867). Kabuki stage consists of music, dance and acting. Kabuki theater features various stage sets such as Hanamichi or a narrow extended stage into audience, revolving stages and so on. Kabuki actors wear heavy make-up and exaggerated costumes. The whole stage effects are visually stunning. Some foreigners called Kabuki Japanese opera. In my tour, A one day tour for the first time visitors to Tokyo, Kabukiza gallery is included as a destination. There, you find and experience interests in Kabuki. Why don't you join me?
